I believe the deadline was in February of this year. Do you mean you're going to enter it next year?

i got nominated. im talking about submitting the edited piece and the impromptu. k thx!

my teacher submitted the stuff yesterday. who else entered? i hate having to wait til autumn to hear about it. also, what did u guys think of the impromptu? i thought mine was a bit cliched but i well written. there were some errors (e.g. they instead of their) b/c i typed on computer and didnt leave muich time for editing (youd think with two hours id have time to edit but more time means more time to write. at least for me).

i entered and won the 8th grade one...the edited piece was a memoir about my great-grandmother (thematically, it was about perspective).

i was really stupid about this cuz i submitted a short story as my "best piece" which is somerthing i do not normally do (im lot better at personal essays). for some reason i decided to try something new for this xontest. hopefully what resulted was a mediocre but pretty well written short story.

btw, would anybody care to take a look @ my short story?

i'd be willing to look at it

anyone hear about this yet?

i won in 2006.
as for sat writing, not too good expecting from a ncte winner.
