Could some people who got into UF or know people who got into UF reply with some high school classes they took to get accepted? For example, is Spanish 3 or physics really worth it? What classes will make or break it? Thanks in advance!
No classes will make or break it, other than making sure you take the minimum required number of academic units:
Total academic units 16
English 4
Mathematics 4
Science 3
Of these, units that must be lab 2
Foreign language 2
Social studies 3
So, while you need to take 2 foreign language classes, a 3rd is not required.
UF is competitive and uses holistic admissions. They care very much about GPA and course rigor/u. You want to take the most rigorous courses available at your high school, that you can reasonably handle. That would include honor, AP, IB, AICE and duel enrollment classes.
If your high school offers IB or AICE, enroll in the program or make sure you’re taking enough AP and DE classes that UF would assume that your course rigor is comparable.
Good Luck!.
