I was not aware that the minimum scores were posted. Do you have a link?

The minimum scores are not posted. USNA does not intend for you to know them. The catalog specifically states to do your best on the CFA. While it is pass/fail and you will be notified if you fail, additional points will be awarded by the admissions board if you score outstanding on the test. Therefore, do your best.

I'm pretty sure you didn't fail. Unless you did like 4 pull ups, 20 push ups, and a 9 minute mile.

Pull Ups: 7
Push Ups: 55
B-Ball Throw: 51
Shuttle Run: 9.7
Crunches: 57
Mile: 5:58

I was concerened about the B-Ball Throw and Crunches.

^^^^^
Don't sweat your CFA scores. The Admissions Office will let you know if you need to retake the test.

Yeah those are just fine bud.

Steve,
West Seattle. Oldest two (before your time) were at Garfield and NOVA, and at Denny Middle. All of them went to Highland Park for elementary...
So, you ride around with your left blinker on and your seat belt hanging out the door saying "Yah, sure, you betcha!" ? (j.k. my kids are Swedes... But, this is the theory on Ballardites...
Been 10 years since we were there. Kids still talk about Spuds and Dick's drive-in... And, my favorite... The Royal Palm in Univ. District. (great Thai food!).
How are you coping with the waiting? I think that's the toughest part for candidates... (with LOA in hand, it should be a tad easier...)

jm,

LOL! Actually, I'm Asian-American, so I drive around hoping not to hit other cars (J/K). But you're right, the demographics of Ballard have not changed much since you were here. There are still plenty of Nordics here. The BHS Scandinavian Club actually has more members than any other ethnic student group combined, I've always found this very funny for some reason.

My parents lived in West Seattle for many years, they moved to Magnolia a few years before I was born. We're still very involved with the community over there. My dad refuses to get a new barber, so for the past 20 years he has been driving from Magnolia to West Seattle to get a hair cut. We are also very involved with the West Seattle Sportsmen's Club and I shoot on their Rifle Team and lecture there.

I went to Lawton Elementary (Magnolia) and McClure Middle School (QA), I have a lot of friends that went to Garfield and a few that went to NOVA. Garfield, BTW is currently being rebuilt and should be real nice when they finish. It's the third HS that has been totally rebuilt, Ballard was first (2000) and Roosevelt second (2007).

Dick's is a place I know well and is a regular lunch hangout. I'm sure all the Deluxes I have eatten have clogged some arteries, but what a burger!

The wait is most definently the hardest part of the process. I should have everything done (DoDMERB stuff left mostly) by next week and then I'll have a good three months before I hear anything at the earliest. That's ample time to go insane. I've already started worrying about every little part of my application, from my CFA to everything else. The upside is that the LOA does ease my mind a little and the rest of my college apps seem much easier and more relaxed.

Oh well. I guess all I have to do now is wait.

hair net-

I completely agree with you! People like to make everything a huge deal around here.
