Yeah I would imagine it would be similar to a socratic seminar. What I’ve heard is that it’s important to work off of each other and move the conversation forward. What time is your interview?

My tour is scheduled at 1:00, with the interview from 1:45 to 2:30. What about you?

hey wild geese, random question but are you an asian girl? not trying to creep or anything but this is for a bet XD

I actually had my interview today haha, I was one of the few who rescheduled

It was pretty fun, though I’m not sure how well it went because our group went off topic at one point. It wasn’t exactly intense but everyone built off one another and no one tried to overdominate the other which was great. it was a pretty comfortable environment.

I’m not asian :P

SwiftWind: You’re in the same boat as my friend, she had to reschedule because of vacation conflicts! How are you feeling right now about the interview? :o

Oops, that reply ended up being posted awkwardly after yours, my bad!
That sounds really great, I feel a bit reassured. :)

12lulu12 my tour/ interview is at the same time, that’s awesome!

It was alright, I was pretty relieved at the fact that we all built off one another and kept the conversation going. We didn’t talk about the summer topic though, it was random things that was able to generate discussion. As long as you guys listen and build off others you’ll be fine.

Then again, I could have completely *****ed it up for all I know.

wildgeese: NO WAY that’s amazing! I’m feeling so much better now - less nerves, more excitement.

SwiftWind: I’m sure you did great; if your group was able to generate a solid discussion, I doubt you screwed up!

AH wildgeese, turns out that I can’t message you anything because I don’t have enough posts yet :’(

can you read my message though?

Yup! Sent a response to your email - hope it worked? I have no idea how to work technology xP

I got the email!

My tour is at 2:15 PM, and my interview is from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM. I’m looking forward to the interview, since speaking is one of my stronger qualifications. Just praying we get a political topic to discuss.

Hey guys, I just thought of this–is there a dress code?

There’s no dress code per se. That said, I wouldn’t show up in a t-shirt and shorts. When I interviewed to be a NJ Scholar (in 1978), I wore a suit.

I’m thinking along the lines of a professional look?
For girls, probably either a nice pair of pants/skirt and a blouse, and for guys maybe a suit or at least dress pants and a dress shirt? And comfy shoes, can’t forget those if we’re going to be touring the campus ;)

What have those who’ve already gone worn/seen other people wear?
