@maofthree, to our knowledge there are packages being sent out detail. The email alert is being sent to the students only. You are of course welcome to call the Financial Aid Office to see if your package has been completed.

So much going on. Where to begin.

1) Decisions for those applying for fall 2012 have been released via email. The Day for Admitted Transfers is May 5 and more information is provided on the transfer welcome site linked in your decision email and the package you’ll get in the mail. Enrollment responses are due by May 15.

2) May is the national deposit deadline for freshman applicants. All admitted freshman must deposit online or postmark their enrollment deposit by May 1. To secure your space in the Class of 2016, you must submit your $350. enrollment deposit and response form (which you can do online via the admitted student site or via mail). We will confirm receipt of your deposit with an email. Generally we process deposits two to three business days after they arrive.

3) Current juniors: Online registration for summer interviews opens on Tuesday, May 1. Interviews are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. They are offered June 25-August 17 (weekdays only) but all appointments are available for claiming as of May 1 ([William & Mary - On-Campus Interviews](http://www.wm.edu/admission/interview)).

4) To those on the freshman waitlist, it will take us some time after May 1 to assess where we are and whether or not we will be able to admit students from the waitlist. Be patient with us. We’ll be in touch as soon as we can and all students will hear from us by mid-June no matter what.

Does that mean midnight April 30th or midnight May 1st?

My internet is down and I am currently using my grandmother’s computer. Do I have until tomorrow when my internet will hopefully be back up (phone company looking into it) or do I need to confirm today (04/30).

Depositing anytime May 1 is fine. And if your internet doesn’t work you can always submit the deposit by mail as May 1 is a postmark deadline.

Hi,
Do you have an expectation of when the system will be up and running for the summer on campus interview scheduling and is on line the only way to schedule?

Thanks!

Yes online is the only way to schedule and we don’t have an exact date yet but we hope it’s soon. We’re just working with the company who makes our new system to work out a few remaining bugs.

Our new scheduling system is up and running as of May 7 at noon! We do apologize for the delay and confusion but now students are able to register for our summer events (tours run May 29 - August 30 on weekdays and select Saturdays including Sept. 1 and interviews run June 25 - August 17 on weekdays only – note the College is closed on July 4).

Signed up for my interview/info session/tour at 12:05 on monday I’m so excited to visit again! Are the interviews led by students or admissions people?

To the W&M Admission office:
I was accepted to William and Mary from the wait list yesterday afternoon. The representative from the admissions office told me that I should expect an email from the financial aid office with my financial aid package within a day. However, it’s been more than 24 hours since this conversation. Should I be worried?

@soccersara, our interviews are conducted by W&M seniors. See our interview page ([William & Mary - On-Campus Interviews](http://www.wm.edu/admission/interview)) for more information on the program and blogs from previous Senior Interviewers.

@clevernickname, generally the email with your admission offer will go out in 24 hours. Financial Aid can’t begin their work until you’re admitted. They will generally email you within a few business days give or take (generally around 5 or so), assuming you already applied and have responded to any communications from their office. We apologize if whomever you talked to misspoke.

Does acceptance from wait list come thru email as well?

I got a phone call and then an e-mail

William and Mary Admissions (or anyone else who knows), do you have any idea if you’re going to admit any wait-listed students from Out-of-State? I’ve seen on this thread that some people were already accepted from the wait list and I was just curious. Thank you for reading my message.

I’m out-of-state and was admitted

W&M has activated its waitlist and is admitting a small group of additional students from both in and out-of-state. Students who are admitted are contacted by phone and email. Our most recent Admit It! Blog provides more detail on our waitlist process ([W&M Blogs Part of the Wait is Over](http://blogs.wm.edu/2012/05/08/part-of-the-wait-is-over/)).

I probably am a little late in asking this, but for anyone who knows, was there anything besides responding to the waitlist form that those of us that were waitlisted (like a confirmation email of your spot on the waitlist or anything similar to that)?

To W&M Admission:
I was admitted a week ago and still haven’t received my financial aid package. I activated by W&M account and everything and checked on there as well as for any emails. Should I wait a little longer or contact someone?

@smg369, there’s nothing you needed to do other than respond to the waitlist from your decision email. There is no confirmation or follow-up to that action on our end.

@clevernickname, you’re welcome to call Financial Aid to see how your package is progressing. You will receive an email from them when you’re package is ready to view online.

Our summer information sessions and tours kick off on Tuesday, May 29. They are offered twice daily on weekdays (with the exception of June 11-12 and July 4) through August 17. They are also offered the week of August 24. We are also offering 10:00am tours on select Saturdays. More information can be found on our tour page ([William & Mary - Information Sessions & Campus Tours](http://www.wm.edu/admission/undergraduateadmission/visit/infosessionstours/index.php)). On-campus interviews for rising seniors begin on June 25 and students can sign-up for those at [William & Mary - On-Campus Interviews](http://www.wm.edu/admission/interview).

All freshman applicants remaining on the waitlist were emailed yesterday. That email stated that as of right now, we have compiled our class and do not anticipate making any additional offers to freshmen for the fall. However, we recognize that additional spaces could arise and therefore a link is provided for students who are interested to request to remain on the waitlist until August 1.

The transfer waitlist is active. Initial offers of admission have been made and more could be coming depending on the outcome of those initial offers. All transfers remaining on the waitlist will be updated within the coming weeks.
