Newspaper clippings as Supplements?

I just found out I was in like three newspapers for Boys State and was wondering if it was appropriate to send those out to colleges? I plan on sending another art supplement showing my film making talent and a recommendation from my Independent Study advisor.
Here's one of the articles:
Four local teens attend American Legion Boys State | nbs.gmnews.com | North South Brunswick Sentinel
I'm Gogineni :)
Don't stalk me please :P

They don’t mind, and it can be helpful. Do whatever benefits you. Just don’t send them a bomb. Now that’s obvious. Hahahaa

You’re already sending an art supplement and an additional recommendation. Anything else would be overkill and is unlikely to be looked at, much less viewed. Adcoms have limited time to read each application. Besides, your Boys State accomplishment should be evidenced elsewhere on your application.

bummmmp bumppp

You don’t need to include newspaper articles that basically say you were a representative at Boys State. Simply state on your HS Resume: Boys State and the date attended

Agree with nysmiles, something that makes a small town paper will not be helpful, just list it as an EC.

k got it :)
