Newton or Upper Campus? Which is better?

Upper. Nuff Said.

NEWTON!!! nuff said

no really, youll probably wind up loving whereever you live. i requested upper but got put on newton this year and i was ****ED when i found out. the newton community really is something special and "what happens on newton stays on newton". even upper kids admit that newton kids have some kind of bizzare bond that reaches everyone. yeah the bus is annoying but the grilled cheese from late night makes up for it times a million

newton has that advantage of the community, slightly bigger dorms, no forced triples, and more open space. upper is closer, "more fun", and actually connected to the rest of campus. coming home to newton feels like youre really coming home and 2am bus rides make up some of my best "memories". im almost positive i would actualy pick newton this time if i could do freshman year over.

and my roommate who has the experience of living on both upper and newton says she likes newton better =)

Yea I would go with Newton I stayed in Upper last summer for the summer program and it was cramped but when I visited I stopped by Newton and the dorms are not only much nicer but like beanieboo said it is like it's own little school in the university and is really nice to have freshman year.

thanks! how about special interest dorms? are they any good?

Adding onto the above question, how hard is it to get a multicultural dorm?

D has a really cute shirt from her time on Newton campus - It said something like "Boston College - Newton Campus - Freshman Year Abroad"
