I’ll be blunt, I have no LOR’s and I plan on applying to undergrad this year, Indiana doesn’t require them so I’m all good still right?
Is it a safety for you? Are you sure you can afford it, and are your stats on the higher end? If not, you need other schools and may need LORs.
Kids from my school are usually accepted with a ~2.8 and 1750 SAT, I have a 3.2 1850 SAT and financial needs aren’t a problem. What do you think? I plan on applying to Mich State and Penn State, thanks for the help thus far.
Can you afford out of state tuition at schools like Penn State? Not sure what your home state is…
Yes, so would it be a problem sending an app even if I don’t have any letters?
On the other hand, would I be straight up rejected if I applied to schools that require an LOR from a teacher?
Why don’t you solve this dilemma by GETTING a LOR? It’s not that difficult you know.
BTW: those grades and scores won’t get you into PSU or MSU
Just speaking on applying to IU, but you are completely fine with no letters of recommendation and you should be fine with those stats
Why don’t you have any LORs? You know that most high school teachers do plenty of them, right? And they find positive things to say even if a student isn’t at the top of the class. It is best to get LORs from core academic teachers, but if you really can’t do that, then even a foreign language or music or art teacher is better than none for a college that says they are required. You app likely will be considered incomplete and may not be reviewed at some schools.
I got into Kelley as a Direct Admit for the class of 2020 and I didn’t have my two teacher recs done when I sent my app(they’re done now). So I know in my case, I did not need them.
thanks john
