no offense to anyone

i'm sooo sick of chance threads!!!

It's getting down to the end and people are freaking out. I was thinking about posting one myself...

along the same lines, i am tired of reading "i go to a VERY COMPETITIVE high school in ....." when people share their stats. give me a break.

i understand why people would post up chance threads, IF they didnt submit their RD applications yet and are still contemplating over Cornell

but if you already submitted RD application..or even your ED application, get over it. other highschool students and couple Cornell students wont make your chances any higher. at most they'll just make you more anxious

ppl should post their stats when they get admitted to the school, not asking if they have a chance of getting in or not.

well i dont agree
insecurity!! thats the word. everyone wants to know where he/she stands and what are his/her chances of getting in.
so whats wrong with chances threads??
the poor person is just trying to assure him/herself

dont read such threads if you dont want to :)
IF YOU WERE WONDERING, NO I HAVENT STARTED A SINGLE CHANCES THREAD. NEVER EVER. :)

but i have answered many:D

lol. it's just that posting it on here doesn't really help them. when there's a lot of ppl telling u that u have a really good chance of getting it, you ego goes up. and when you dont' get in, you fall harder. why would anyone want to do that to themselves?

I am sure every one who applied was told by many that they had a good chance of getting in. Everyone is freaking out and although it doesn't matter what people tell you, it could definately make the next 11 days go by much faster if someone says something positive.

i'm usually a pretty positive person. but people saying positive things dont' really help when you have no idea what's gonna happen. they just add more to the chaos.
