I didn't file a tax return in 2011, and of course I'm aware that I need to submit the non-tax filer statement, but my question is where do I send it to? The bottom of the form says that I need to send it to the College Board, but I'm not too sure, do I have to send it to them or to Rice?

I am confused as well. If I send it to the College Board, I need to include an IDOC Cover Sheet. The only way I can get one of those is if I have access to IDOC. Apparently the College Board will notify us if one of our institutions selects us for participation.

I am just going to send an email to Rice and ask.

I received a response, but I failed to clarify that I was an early decision applicant so they told me that it would be sent during the IDOC process which begins in January.

However, in the automated response, I got this: “3. If the student did not file a tax return in 2011, please complete a Nonfiler Statement found at … and send it directly to our office by fax or email, attaching any W2s showing the student’s income in 2011.”

I emailed Admissions and told them that I was applying ED and got the same response you did.

I am going to send it to Rice.
