North Quad

I'm gonna be living in North Quad next year as a junior. Fresh and soph years I lived in Martha Cook, which was nice but the rules were too restrictive and I wanted some more freedom and a more traditional dorm feel.

I have never visited North Quad though, and I am wondering if you guys can tell me about it. I will be living in a double in a quad suite. What are those like? Are they nice? How much space will I have, and will the four of us (in the suite) have our own bathroom?

Is it true that the dining hall is closed on Thurs, Sat, and Sunday? That'll be kinda inconvenient to have to go to South Quad or Hill or something for meals on Thursdays...

Is the location pretty good? I guess I'm spoiled because Martha Cook is great, down the street from Angell Hall/the libraries/the Union, etc. is NQ a pretty decent walk from everything?

I know it's all upperclassmen living at NQ but also, since I'm a junior and most people live off campus by their junior years, I wouldn't want it to be weird. Am I likely to be placed with a junior/senior roommate or could I get sophomore roommates/suitemates too?

Also, MC doesn't have suites, and I had a single this year, so I'm not used to living with people. Is living in a quad fun?

Okay thanks for reading all the way through that! Phew. Any answers to these questions/general advice about North Quad/general dorm living would be much appreciated!

Now c’mon. You’ve lived on the Michigan campus for two years already. You should EASILY know the answer to that question.
