Northeastern Class of 2013/2017

Has anyone been accepted RD for the business school? still waiting

@Hayucos, congrats to your daughter! I would say let her pick whichever she loves the most. If she ends up picking NE just because of money but ends of hating it there she will regret it.

RD - College of Engineering acceptance - honors + 20K :)

Ebhelper- I agree. That would be extremely helpful. Who would like to do the honors? Haha

In balancing full tuition scholarship at Northeastern vs. full pay/major loans elsewhere, try this out:

Accepted RD College of Engineering. No honors program, but was still offered full tuition

HeJind are you a NMF?

Any ID how to get your NU ID if you can not find the letter?

It’s probably in an email that Northeastern sent you when you applied.

Still haven’t gotten any email. 2300 SAT, 3.97 UW. I actually submitted my app in November so I would’ve thought it was close to the top of the pile. My school already has 35 EA admits all of whom had lower stats than I did, but nonetheless I am fairly worried. If I received generous merit aid, I feel like I would certainly consider NEU!

I haven’t received anything either Und3rC0ver. 2270 SAT, 3.75 GPA (4.47 W), National Merit Finalist, etc.

I’m applying to a lot of competitive schools and NEU was my safety. I was counting on generous merit aid and admission into the honors program to make me seriously consider NEU, especially among my other choices Ah, well.

I just logged on this morning and was surprised to see I was accepted! I’m also accepted to the honors program with 20k a year!

Where do you log into? Is it the same application portal that you check status on?

Opaline, did you put down Northeastern as your first choice for NMF? I’m wondering if the first-choice finalists will receive acceptances at a different time.

Congratulations to everybody who has gotten in!! :)

Is there any rhyme or reason to who gets accepted early? Is it based on which school you applied to, your credentials (it seems like a lot of admits have been honors college), or simply when u submitted your app?

I haven’t designated any school as my first-choice yet. I did, however, contact NEU about my finalist status and sent them a PDF of my NMF letter to prove it.

They sent me a polite email response congratulating me and told me they would add it to my application.

It appears that Northeastern is doing what they did last year: top RD applicants are receiving decisions early. The rest will likely receive their decisions the same day in mid-March.

RD son admitted for computer science, honors program, 16,000/yr deans scholarship
He received an email saying the decision was ready and to log onto the portal to get the decision. Make sure when your decision comes out you click all the links on the left and scroll down all the pages- I almost missed the honors program letter- although son who is better with computers saw it right away!

Does anyone of you know how to view the scholarship they offer in your admission letter? By the way, I am an international student.

Hayucos, your daughter has an unconditional offer for Oxford? and there are no choices between Oxford and Northeastern? It feels as if I am missing something- is her choice really between one of the top 10 universities in the world and a university that ranks somewhere in the high 300’s? Surely there is something in between? (disclosure: have a daughter at Oxford and another at a US university)
