Accepted to Weinberg! Received an email around 5pm CST, submitted my application and all additional materials during the first weeks of April. The FA tab never appeared on my portal prior to the decision(though I applied for it).
Another week of waiting?..
My daughter submitted her common app on Jan 17. Some of the supporting paperwork didn’t make it there until right before Mar 15.

looking at last year’s thread, all applicants weren’t notified until after June 1st…
I’m not sure if I’m willing to take that chance, so i’m strongly considering committing to a school i’ve already been admitted to. i’m curious as to what the purpose of the staggered results is, seeing that people whose applications were complete in April received decisions in the first round, and others who submitted applications in February still haven’t heard back… alas.

I am so confused about this result. I wonder if I approach the essay in the wrong way. I think the PS essay prompt asks me about myself rather than my reasons for transferring?
@JasmineR I think either approach works. Some people submitted a regular non-transfer specific essay, and I just submitted my usual “why transfer” essay like for other schools too (although I described some of my personal background in it too, and I did submit extra materials like a gap year explanation). Sorry about your result though

I got in!! I’m so happy and CANNOT believe this just happened. CAS applicant, 4.0 GPA, Comparative Literature major, from a community college in Southern California! I started crying when I clicked on “view decision” on the portal and the first thing I saw was “Congratulations and welcome to Northwestern University!”
