Hey I am a prospective applicant to this university and I was concerned when I read that in order to apply to this school I need to take the TOEFL test. I should be waived of this test because my high school's primary language is English, but my SAT Critical Reading score is below 600. Should I be concerned? Could a reading or English ACT score suffice?

I mean, normally they ask the TOEFL if you are non Us citizen. If they ask for the TOEFL, then you are better because the TOEFL is a piece of cake, not kidding its so easy. I am hispanic and I did really good. I think if you can score good on the TOEFL you can use it as a back for that bad C.R. score.

Most ESL professionals would recommend that you take the TOEFL if you have had fewer than six years of education in English-language schools.

If your home language is not English, and your CR score is less than 600, your TOEFL score would allow the admissions office to consider how much of your CR score is due to to your level of fluency in English.
