Not listing all the schools you went to??? How bad is it??

Okay, so here is my dilemma...

I will be ready to transfer in Spring 2010, but UCLA doesnt accept Philosophy majors until Fall 2010.

You may have seen my other posts, but i am HIGHLY considering going to Boston College in Spring 2010 ( Granted i get in, which i know is a stretch)

Lets say I get into BC for Spring and i go there in January, 2010...but i absolutely cant stand going to school there

I wouldnt find out if i got into UCLA until late April or Early May, which would be very close to the end of my first semester at BC.

If i hated Spring semester at BC could i just submit my SIR to UCLA for Fall and act like it never happened... I know technically you are supposed to list every school you go to, but is there a way UCLA would find out, like would i need to not get financial aid from Boston to keep UCLA from not knowing.

Thanks Guys!!!

oh my stats if anyone is interested:

GPA: 3.71
Major:Philosophy
EC: Philosophy Tutor, American Philosophical Association, Business Internship, Basketball Coach
HS: 2.7 GPA, 1390/2400 SAT

Honestly I wouldnt suggest that. Instead you should visit both campuses and spend a day or two at both. I mean I guess you can attend one while applying to another, and then transfer after getting in to the other. Honestly, though I would say you should take your time, pick the right school, and be patient. But i’m old fashioned ;)

Yes, they can find out because you will be giving your Social Security number to both schools. Theoretically, UCLA could kick you out for not divulging that information. I agree with Matt G - might as well make an informed decision instead of banking on a switch.

Also - there’s no reason why you couldn’t go to BC and then transfer to UCLA. Only concern there might be making sure you take transferrable classes.

If i went to BC in spring, then i would have to wait and apply from BC to ucla for Fall 2011 as a senior which they dont allow

Then you should probably visit both schools and see which one fits your interest the most.

Yeah true, thanks guys
