impacted major?

Not that I know of, it’s sociology.

bump. definite answer would be appreciated. thanks in advance

Are you applying to transfer Fall '11? Did you list that you were taking it? Please be more specific.

thanks for the reply. Im actually going to apply for the '12 fall semester and I won’t be taking it. UCSD is going to be my backup school and I was just wondering if it’s mandatory to take pre-req classes in order to get accepted.

i’m going to take a wild guess that required pre-requisites are required. i’ve heard of ucs taking on students missing a prereq class, but that seems rare and case-by-case, dependent on factors that only admissions knows/calculates. a high gpa, high major gpa, and legitimate reason for missing the class might help, but i really don’t think ucs are lining up for students missing pre-reqs.

also, on preview-- you’re applying for '12!? take the class. i don’t understand why you just wouldn’t take a required class.

I don’t think it will ruin your chances of getting in if you don’t take it. Especially if you have a high GPA.

However, I think you should take it (agree with above). If it’s only one class, it won’t hurt you to NOT take it unless you feel like you can’t fit it in anywhere in the next year or so.
