Notre Dame Waitlist 2020

@swimgirl1 There’s honestly no way of knowing. I know that a lot of people got the call yesterday, but I haven’t heard of anyone - among people here, and among my friends from Duke TIP - from my region (GA, AL, MS, MD, VA) administered by my admissions rep that got the call.

Maybe that’s a coincidence, or maybe it means that my rep was busy with something else yesterday, or still finalizing her choices. I’m trying to stay optimistic, though, that there are still calls to be made.
I had my guidance counselor call admissions today - that’s my last resort as to what I can do for this.

No matter what happens, there are bound to be some of those 70 people who can’t take a spot on the waitlist (aid package not big enough, changed their mind, etc.). So after yesterday, they’re going to cycle back through and choose people to fill the remaining spots until they’re all full. There are certainly a good few phone calls left to be made, so not all hope is lost.

Also, it’s not yet 5:00 today, and I think that that’s when the calls go out.

You all are just the nicest people!

@wneely16 I’m from MD and got the call :frowning:

Aw, man. That’s alright, though - they’re still going to call some people, I’m sure, and I hope I can be one of them

Congrats to those that got in! My hope is waning day by day but I’m still holding out!

By the way, has anyone from NJ/ Colorado heard back?

Has anyone from PA heard? Or anyone with Anna Taul as their rep? Kind of the last thing I’m holding on to

For those accepted off the waitlist, the portal now contains our acceptance letters!

I got a call from Anna yesterday. I am from PA. Dont give up hope yet not everyone wil accept their spot and some enrolled students might get off waitlists elsewhere and open more spots

Has anyone from southern ÇA heard from their rep? Any acceptances?

Is the portal updated for all admitted people? Well this is sad

For those accepted off the waitlist, can you post your stats? Just to give me and others some perspective?

@businessg101 Not to discourage you, but if they didn’t call you, then I don’t think they haven’t admitted you yet. Im 99% sure admissions call ALL of the applicants they admit from the waitlist. But to answer your question, I would imagine that all of the portals for accepted students have been updated.

@c0IIegeb0und 4.0 UW, 4.65 W, 2110/1440 SAT (800 M, 640 R)

Is there still a chance of getting accepted? How late do they usually keep pulling off the waitlist? Was anyone accepted from the New York area? Thanks everyone, and a huge congrats to those that got in! Also, if you were pulled, can you quickly outline what you’ve done over the past month to keep in contact with the admissions office?

I had a 4.21 weighted (but our school weights weirdly so it would be higher if they did it normally), 1480 SAT, 33 ACT

Yeah, saw the letter online, hoping to get the welcome packet in the mail today. Financial aid package especially.

Package arrived. Didn’t see the financials. Same problem for anyone else?

So I have been checking this thread for a couple of days (you guys are all so nice!) and decided it was time to pipe up. I applied to 12 colleges–safeties, matches, and reaches alike–and was waitlisted at Notre Dame, along with Northwestern, Vanderbilt, and Carelton College. I’m all about keeping my options open, so I remained in contact with every admissions office (except for Northwestern, which is harder to do because they don’t assign admissions counselors) throughout April. I also sent each school a “continued statement of interest,” as well as a list of interesting things I have been doing this semester (kind of looked like a short resume). I was really surprised to get the call from Notre Dame on Tuesday because I thought ND’s waitlist would be the hardest to get off of besides Northwestern’s. I am SO excited but also very wary of the financial aid package I might be receiving. Does anyone know when Notre Dame is sending these out? Does ND use the FAFSA as closely as they say (meeting 100% demonstrated need)? @c0IIegeb0und I had a 2220 on SAT, GPA 4.7 W. Congratulations/good luck all!

Yep, same thing. Letter said something about financial specifics, I see none of that though.

Really hope they email the financial aid info to us tomorrow.
