Wait, I got 29 for the 100 to 200 inclusive one

hey what was the number 3 one that you’re talking about? the 130deg??
just quick explanation

@tbonus: it was a triangle with the equation 2x + y = 180 with an inequality set up for x.

One version of the Nov 2009 SAT has two grid in sections (3&7) for math.

Can anyone remember which section had the question which asked for the total prime where the answer was 995 (9+9+5=23). Because thats the real one and the section that did not have the 995 answer was experimental.

Does anyone remember?

There was one question that had two pairs of parallel angles and said one angle was 55 degrees, angle d was 105 degrees, and it asked for angle x, which was 20.

I’m 99% sure the prime number grid in was section 3.

Which sucks cause I did worse on section 3. Bah!

@Pizda, that’s not true. I had 1 grid-in math section and it didn’t contain the prime number question.
Which I guess is luck because people had problems with it. Although I did mess up how many prime numbers there are between 30 and 40, so I guess it evens out.

did anyone get the correct answer to the sock question and dog->door question? if you did, can you please explain how you got it

Well, it looks like I will have to wait for December’s test. The two I had incorrect showed very poor reasoning.

The sock question and dog question will haunt me.

prime number grid was section 3 ( & the answer was 995)

2200or—>i explained the dog one the previous page(or the one before it)

I think some of the wording was off…like the last grid in w/ k=9 for an answer. i didn’t understand the question (but got it correct). Collegeboard needs to use better wording/explanations

@mifune, nvm i just realized it has to be four for the sock to ensure a pair… i picked 2 ■■■. and for the dog question, i got 6… is that right

^no it’s 12

No, its 12. There is an explanation on the previous page that just happens to be directed to me. I didn’t read it because I had already come to my own realization.

The dog question is 12. See picture (left side is dog-side doors, right side is human-side doors):

the answer was 1/8 as you could simply it to 8X^3 -1 = 8Y^3 which solves to 8x^3 -8Y^3 = 1 dividing by 9 throughout = 1/8 = X^3 + Y^3

Josh, how did you manage to draw such a detailed and sophisticated piece of art?? Damn I wish I had your skills.

Jshapiro105, my boy from nj that message was mad funny

Geez, I took Jshapiro seriously and clicked to see what it was… :c
