****November 2013 SAT Thread***

did anyone get 80 as a grid in?

for the 3 consecutive integers adding up to 120, find sum of smallest and largest num

@ad12345 - I think I did. It was 41+39.

ad12345- yep. It was 39+41=80. At least that’s what I had!

If I answered every question in reading and all but 2 in math, how many can I miss to get 660s?

Grid-ins that I remember (missing 3 – please add)

2400 (systems of equations)

80 (consecutive ints)

192 (circle question)

650 (vaccine A vaccine B)

1.75 (large token, small token)

x=3 (chart of functions 2(fx) + g(x) something like that)

1 (more than 1 answer)
3^x(1/3)^y = 27, 3<x<7, what is one possible value for y?

@ad12345 - I think I got 7 somewhere, I’m not sure.

I know there was 650.

@jp123456 - People were talking about that in the blockbuster thread I think.

@ad12345 I think there was one that asked the distance of OA and OB or something like that and the answer to that might have been 2 but i don’t really remember…

@ad123456 what was the question for the grid in answer with three? and the question for grid in answer 1?
yes i remember one question was like 1/27? i think y was 6 or something i know it was a single digit number

for the one that i put 1 there is more than 1 answer

3^x(1/3)^y 3<x<7, i chose x to be 4

3^4(1/3)^y
81(1/3)^1 = 27

the x=3 grid in was the function chart with f(x), g(x) ,etc

we have 7/10 of the grid ins if anyone can remember the other 3 plz share

@ad12345,
there was the AD segment is 20 in length, AB CD are equal, something along the lines of that, I think the answer was 6.8? There was also the difference between the lengths of a 3-4-5 triangle, the answer was 2.

9)6.8
10)80
11)
12)
13)
14)
15)
16)
17)
18)192

Guys no one seems to be writing about the writing section and there are some questions I have for it. So can someone answer the question with
(finding error question) Except for the honking of the geese, the pond(?) was quiet, until the foraging of the animals or sth like that. was it “except for” or “Besides” or it is no error?
Also for the last section about the turtle leaving the place of birth for 20 years
is it “,returning to the exact same spot with exact precision” or “before returning, with exact precision, to the place of birth”
Lastly the one also in section 10, one option was “although far more skilled a politician, George debated worse than Bryn” or “despite a far more skilled politician, George debated worse than bryn” and also can someone tell me how many “no errors” there were? Anyways thanks!

wasn’t the question 3^x(⅓)^y=1/27
1/27, not 27
so i think i set x=4 and got y =7 or something

It did equal to 1/27, meaning that y=7 (if you set x=4).

Did anyone get this math question?

Q) Gave you a graph of 7-ish countries and asked you if you were to order them from least to greatest in order of Area, which place would have the greatest population?

I said 3rd

@columbiaengi I remember that question I think I put the country that the dot was to the far right

Which was third

Third as in it will be in the third position
