Does College Board release scores over the weekend or we have to wait till Monday?
Typically another batch of scores will be released at or around 3:00 PM EST. And I’ve not heard of any weekend releases, but that’s my recollection.
In Texas here and D’s says the same thing.
I just called they said they may come out during the weekend!
Good to know. I just want to see D’s score!
Did you see if they were releasing any more today?
I just called and they would not tell me anything, just to check back.
How do you know if you owe a balance?? Anyone know when the next set of scores will be released like later today or tomorrow??
Last month I didn’t get my score until around 3-4 ish. About 90% of the scores get released by the end of the day.
Ahh I’m so scared do they curve the scores??
the reading was pretty difficult I bet they will be a little nicer on the curve.
Hope so one of my friends got their score during 8th hour (1:05 -2:04)
I called about the balance, i knew we did not owe, but I thought I would ask.
I just called and they are not releasing any scores over the weekend. They said to check your collegeboard account periodically today or come back on Monday
Reading several posts about a curve, college Board doesn’t curve the SAT… Meaning if you take the SAT with Mostly real smart kids you may score in a lower percentile, if you take the SAT with a bunch of 9 th graders your percentile will be higher… Your score is your score without a curve…
Percentiles are predetermined per a score number. But the number wrong per scaled score is curved, also predetermined, based on the difficulty of the questions. So there is no actual curve based on the other people who took the test, but each test has a different score per the same number wrong.
When I called, they told me my scores were just not available yet and they weren’t releasing over the weekend. I’m extremely annoyed but I guess I can’t do anything about it. I’m just frustrated because my friends have their scores…
The SAT is NOT curved. If every single person who took the October SAT got a perfect score (missed not a single question and scored a 12 on the essay) then each of them would receive a 1600. Alternately, if one dummy missed 1 question, and the rest of us got every single question right, the dummy would get like a 1550, and we’d all get 1600s. He would not get a 200. So no, the test is not curved, by definition.
That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying that different administrations of the test have different levels of difficulty and therefore the same scaled score from different tests can apply to different numbers of questions wrong. This is commonly referred to as the curve, albeit not the same type of curve one might have in a classroom test situation because it is not based on the people who all took the test together, but based on some mystical research study of the questions involved.
Hang in there. The waiting may be excruciating but this too shall pass. The internet rumor is that another batch of scores is coming out at the top of the hour.
If someone gets scores this afternoon, please update. Thanks
