So sondosia, if everyone who already called, calls 99 more times...

Maybe we could be semi-accurate? :D

I am a parent of an 09 graduate and she has just applied rd. I just want to say that I wish all of u the best of luck and given all of the negative commentary on you guys generation its refreshing to c u all so concerned about ur college education which is so impotant. Kudos to all of u.

ahh i'm so anxious!!

be honest guys...

in that moment when we're all anxiously posting on this thread to say if we got in... if you get rejected, will you post it on this thread?

my friend brought up a valid point about last year's thread, in that there were probably a lot of rejected kids who just didn't feel like publicizing it on CC, that's why it looked like there was only one out of ALLL those CCers who didn't get in

it'll be tough... but I'll probably post either way.

how are they going to make us wait for snail mail?! they could at least mail it before next weekend so that some of us don't have to wait until the 20th to find out if we got in. Because, for those of us who don't get in (and hopefully all of us do!) that gives you about 10 days to fill out any other college apps.

and if you are like me, you have def been putting off those other supplemental essays!

Maybe the reason they are not using the same system as in the past is that for the regular decision candidates, something went wrong and some people heard that they had gotten accepted earlier than the time they were supposed to hear, but it turned out to be a mistake. There were some kids that heard at that earlier date that they had gotten in who eventually did not get in. NU obviously had a glitch in the system and instead of going through that again, are going to try something new.

My guess -- and its only a guess -- is that you MAY get an e-mail telling you to check somewhere. I could be wrong. They did do that last year in addition to letting applicants know on their applicant services page.

My D got in ED but she had most of her other applicants done and ready to go in case she heard otherwise. Last year I heard of many kids in her school who had not started their other applications and had to scramble.

that's true, bank1019. i'll probably end up posting here.
but yeah agreed gg183, it would seriously suck if we didn't find out past the 15th. i don't think they're going to do that. i think they'll mail them next week. cause think about it, almost every other university ED has either
a) already sent out decisions
b) said their deadline was the 15th

NU's not going to go later than the 15th...

i hope ><

ps. pleeeease someone call. i would, but it's long distance
angelic smile

i think my mom is starting to go as crazy as i am!

If somebody tells me the number, I'll call. I havent called them AT ALL so far.

(847) 491-7271

yay lima!!!

ps. MAKE SURE YOU ASK:
a) if we are going to get any sort of online/e-mail confirmation/decision or if it's ONLY snail mail
b) what day they starting to mail
c) when the earliest we could have decisions is by
d) when the LATEST we could have deciisions is by

thank youuu so much!!! you are CC hero.

It would be amazing if you could do as nutterbutter said. :)

Thanks much! Maybe the more calls they get, the faster they'll release them? Maybe?

They'e only open Monday-Friday.

I can try to call again monday morningish, if we haven't died of anxiety by then.

@ crazygood31: hahaha if that was the case, i swear i'd have them on speed-dial. i'd also have their decision by now :).

UGHHH KILLING MEEE THOUGH. i tried to study for exams a little while ago and failed. ever so sadly. because i just drifted back onto CC.

Thanks, Lima! Just one and a half more days until then. =)

Thanks Lima!

Is anyone else having as difficult a time as I am writing supplemental essays for other colleges? I try and all that comes out is WHEN WILL I FIND OUT ABOUT NU? haha.. The only one that's actually going pretty well is a diversity essay for Notre Dame.

^Yeah, I can't write ANYTHING. I've just lost the will to do anything but sit and wait. =)
