yeah... I'm almost wishing I had finals to distract me. We don't have them until January, so it's either college essays or nada.

For all of you on Facebook, be sure to join the applicants group:
Login | Facebook

There's a thread in there about posting your CC username. You can find me on there, you can add me if you wish. I added the few I recognized, as creepy as that may be. That means we can freak out on more than one website!

Edit - though the link title is weird, if you log in it should take you to the group page.

teehee even though i don't add people i don't know on facebook this group is such a cute way to share our miseries:)

Haha, I'll definitely add you guys. Besides, we'll need Facebook for when we ALL get in and want to meet up once we get there, right?

I'm being optimistic. =)

^^ haha true, I'll add people and start the roommate search if I get accepted. Gotta love facebook.

Now that I'm stressing about the flaws of my application... I'm wondering if I should've called NU to be considered for recruiting. :/ lol at this point, I'd basically do anything to get in.

of course i'll add you all if we get in =) AHHH i'm hoping. hoping hoping hoping.

ditto on the DO ANYTHING, bank1019.

Good luck nutterbutter! Hopefully all this stress is worth it...

Ughh, too bad everything's already been decided. That's the scary part for me.

Of course a big CC (re)union will be planned once we're all there!

I think we should all call up the admissions office on Monday and let them know that we're available to come in and help them sort out their RD applications/run errands/do whatever they want when they need us. :)

^ Amen to that.

My biggest worry right now is that a crucial part of my application was misplaced or incomplete, and due to ineffectual bureaucracy they didn't email me and tell me. And of course if I get rejected it would say WHY, like it wouldn't say, you got rejected because we don't have your TRANSCRIPT.

That just freaks me out SO much.

don't worry, sondosia!! they always tell you that way in advance. if it was a bureaucratic error you/your guidance counselor would definitely have been informed by now.

I freaked out when they said they didn't have my test scores, but they worked with me til i got them in (whew!).

agreed@crazygood. if we get in i'm not above shining their shoes. oldschool thank-yous.

Ahh. Yeah, the thing that's been freaking me out since I submitted my application is that fact that there's absolutely nothing I can do anymore. Pretty much since we began school we've been preparing for this and now.... it's all out of our hands.

Crazy.

as much as we all want to prepare for the worst, i can't imagine how it would feel to be rejected...

Thanks, nutterbutter! I knew it was kinda irrational to worry about that, but that's how I am.

I don't really know how it'd feel to get rejected, either. Sometimes I feel like I'd die if that happened, but other times I feel like I'd just move on and do my ED stuff...

wow did i make a mistake of creating this topic just to make everyone else more anxious? :p sorry about that if i did

i have the email of the person looking at my application so if i dont' find out on thet 15th via email or mail i plan to email my application reviewer. hopefully she can give me an answer

Void, how did you get your application reviewer's email?

she came to visit my school

Void- do they review by region? I'm a little confused...

Generally, they have readers for a specified region. e.g. Florida, Georgia, Alabama, etc. That person reads all the applications from those states and compares them all. Usually the states are meaningfully paired based on test score trends throughout those states or whatnot.

So what he is saying is that the regional adviser person came to their school and talked to them, probably giving out the his or her email to them.

Ohhh, okay that makes sense. Would a senior assistant dean of admissions be able to read whatever application they chose? For like an additional review then?
