<p>“December 15: Northwestern notifies applicants of admission decision”</p>
<p>Crap. SO I guess we all have to wait for five more days :(</p>
<p>@Hasbani/Iggy48 - Not to get all technical with the wording here (though I AM planning on being a journalism major), but if NU is supposed to “notify applicants of the admission decision” on the 15th, doesn’t that in itself insinuate that we will actually BE NOTIFIED on said date? =)</p>

<p>@sondosia I think you are right, which means we still have FIVE long days until we hear anything.</p>
<p>sondosia: I believe that exact phrase was used last year, as well as the year before. Previous years have always received the decision earlier than December 15th. So don’t give up hope yet!</p>

<p>@ nutterbutter, I think that may have been me. I was told that last week when I called, but I’m thinking it was a student working in the office. He said they’d be mailed at the latest the 15th.</p>
<p>We’re running out of days to let us know prior to the 15th! lol. I doubt they’d tell us anything on a weekend…</p>

<p>Okay, I don’t know if anyone has posted the dates up from previous years yet on this thread, but after looking around this site, I found the following:</p>
<p>Year 2004-2005 … 12/11 ('09) –> Saturday
Year 2005-2006 … 12/10 ('10) –> Saturday
Year 2006-2007 … 12/13 ('11) –> Wednesday
Year 2007-2008 … 12/11 ('12) –> Tuesday</p>

<p>i am so annoyed. every other school is organized enough to tell their applicants exactly when decisions are released. but nooo northwestern lets us suffer and analyze data we need to find on CC forums =(</p>
<p>But in last year’s thread I remember reading that the admissions office had actually SAID they were posting results (they had logins) at 5 or 6 PM ET when someone called that morning.
so i think that’s why we need to call them everyday, in case things change, and just keep reiterating the same information. i don’t care if it’s repetitive, as long as we stay in the know. :)</p>

<p>i know someone who is applying ED who has a parent who works in the financial aid office at NU, and the word on the street today is that the notifications will be sent SATURDAY. i have no idea how reliable this is, but it’s worth talking about…</p>
