Hi, I know Pitt has an amazing nursing program but I’ve heard it’s very difficult to get into. Does anyone know what high school GPA people that are accepted usually have?

Based on my daughter’s experience, I would say it’s pretty tough. We are out of state and she was waitlisted with a 4.0 GPA and a 26 ACT. We knew the ACT was probably too low. If your GPA and test scores are high, you will have a decent shot. Good luck!
oh man, my UW GPA is only around a 3.7:( Do you know if Pitt looks at freshman year GPA? Would a good SAT score and ECs balance it out? @Buckeyemom85
If your test scores are good, you may be ok. They may ask to see your mid year grades during your senior year. I would assume they look at all of your grades from high school. In my opinion, Pitt doesn’t put a lot of value on EC’s. The application does not even have a place to list or explain your EC’s, other than essay questions that are very specific and short in length.
@Buckeyemom85 thanks, this was really helpful
@poubelle1 A 3.7UW GPA is pretty good. Just keep it up and work on SAT/ACT prep.
