Hi everyone,
I was wait-listed and I just wanted to make a forum for the people wait-listed this year because this sucks and I feel as though it'd be nice to talk to others who still have the same cloud of uncertainty regarding their futures lying over their heads.

The link concerns me because he doesn't even bring up CAS or LSP and those were the two programs I (and I'm sure many others) put down in the wait-list response. Will people from the wait-list be accepted into CAS or LSP, is it too soon to tell? How has NYU been with wait-list admissions in the past? Can we do anything to increase our chances of coming off the wait-list?

Waitlisted for CAS. Not really expecting to be accepted, and I’m still very happy with the college I have picked. Besides, it was always unlikely that I would attend since financial aid is pretty important and, well, NYU isn’t the school for that.

Either way, I am happy I was at least waitlisted and not flat-out rejected, and it would be very nice to be accepted off of it. Good luck to the rest of you!

Another person waiting for Stern, I know some people not accepting their admission to Stern this year so I think there is a chance of getting in through the waitlist.

I was wait listed for CAS with a declared major of computer science. I know that sutff will be sent to poly. Now I want to do pre med so should I update the office about that?

And to college dreams all I did was send in my grades too. I think I also said I won a chess tournament, and was on the honor roll for all my classes.

My son was wait listed for film school in tisch, and hasn’t heard anything yet. He was accepted off the wait list from another school though, but in the meantime, is happy with his current choice.

Unfortunate wait-list to College of Arts and Sciences. I called today and they said we should be receiving some sort of notification within the month. In the email they said before July 1st, but I called today and they said within the month. Stay hopeful everyone!

Also, in the email they sent regarding our notification, they said they don’t want any supplementals, letters of recommendations, visits and etc. So is there anything we can possibly do to increase our chances of getting off the wait-list?

I got one from the admissions representative yesterday asking if I would still like to be considered for admission and if I would definitely enroll if accepted! Don’t know if that goes out to everyone or if it’s a good sign…
