Congrats! But trust me, as a college student who has gone through this process, don’t go with nyu if it is too expensive. Student debt is real and many students who go through nyu end up in serious debt @Serenah451

@hellgiver yea i said i would consider different campuses and different schools as well. And im still not sure that this email means an official acceptance. I was reading through the 2017 waitlist thread and it seems there have been cases where those who got the email still didnt get in.
@Serenah451 did anything in Albert change for you?

@hellgiver UVA is a great school congrats! and so is McGill @■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ so congrats as well!
BUT OMGGG people are already hearing back??? who else has heard back apart from @sonsson (congrats btw!) i am so incredibly stressed out. If we don’t get an email does that mean we’re rejected for good or will they explicitly send you an email saying you didn’t get off the wait list??

wait @hellgiver you got in?!!?

NYU CAS is my dream school but i’d happy to attend any college at NYU to be honest.

@Maryyyam lol I got into UVA back in March. Hang on, you are talking about UVA right?

@hellgiver haha no I’m talking about NYU. Did you hear anything from them? Sorry I was talking gibberish ^ earlier, I’m just so nervous.

@■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ I feel like it’s too early in the game to give up all hope. I was checking the 2013 wait list thread and people didn’t hear back till june/july so… (although that would literally kill me because i cannot handle the uncertainty for another 1-2 months).
Anyone who hears from them, update us all…even before you update your family on your acceptance. THANK YOU

@Isabel88888888 I know…decisions. @sonsson do you mean my admission status or just the overall page?

EDIT: just checked Albert, nothing changed

@Serenah451 I think what these emails show is that there might be a few empty seats in CAS and that they’re listing down the strongest candidates who show interest by replying back. They will then later review all of their profiles for the vacant slots.

@hellgiver I applied to scps for sports management :)

@Serenah451 cool!! Anyways my earlier argument still probably holds true and Good luck! I hope that your status on Albert changes soon

@Maryyyam And those people who hear very late are usually on the wait list after the candidates from the first wait list are finalized and admitted. Their chances of getting in are close to impossible. Most of the people who will be accepted off the wait list will probably get their acceptance letters by the end of this month.

It’s not confirmed, but according to last years thread, the financial award apparently changes to 2014: Award Access not Available from just Award Access not Available for those admitted. Also the first batch of waitlist acceptances are supposed to come out early next week.

early next week as in starting from this coming monday? @sonsson

@sonsson how do you know that the answers will come early next week?

early next week as in this coming monday @sonsson?

early next week as in this coming monday?

why are all my posts not appearing?

Hey,
I feel like I owe it to you all because all of you really helped me through the college process, so here it goes: I got an interest letter last week. I was waitlisted in April. I got this letter last wednesday and answered positively. The day after I received it, my Albert status was updated to 2015 - New York University - Award Not Acessible; however, I still haven’t received the official letter… I am hoping that it will come soon.
