I was waitlisted at NYU, does anyone know the acceptance rate from the waitlist?
IDK but I was waitlisted as well to Steinhardt! Trying to find this info…
Waitlist for Stern
Waitlist for CAS
I was waitlisted as well! So so bummed…
I am staying on the list. NYU is my first choice. I will put a deposit down on my 2nd choice and pray I get into NYU
I am staying on the waitlist as well since NYU is my #1! I was waitlisted from Steinhardt and applied as a nutrition/food studies major
I was also waitlisted, praying it works out this was my top and I was declined from pretty much everywhere else besides my backup Anyone know info about their waitlist?
Waitlisted for Steinhardt MCC. Been my #1 since middle school. Putting down a deposit at either Fordham or UIUC (in-state), and praying for good news.
Apparently over 21% of applicants were put on wait-list. Makes me not very hopeful
waitlisted for steinhardt MCC also. It’s so cruel for them to waitlist 21%… This doesn’t give me any hope
Waitlisted CAS. Admissions page stated 21% of all applicants (75K+) were waitlisted.
So they waitlisted at least 15,750 people. That’s insane!
Is it true that those on the waitlist are expected to pay almost all of the tuition or given some to none financial aid?
Yes that is the case at most schools. Not sure about NYU though
Expecting it’s the same because NYU is known for being stingy with their financial aid. I hope someone proves me wrong.
Also does anyone if the amount you write and what you write on the waitlist form affects your acceptance? I thought getting picked was random.
i think I’m going to put in a deposit to fordham but stay on the list. so upset though i thought i had a chance.
going off last years data (~67000 applicants total, 15% waitlisted, half of the 15 stayed on, 325 positions open in the end) about 6.5% of those on the waitlist were accepted :\
Wow, that sucks. I am not expecting to get in lol
@kuhlm44937 Accept the waitlist and write a strong waitlist essay. Several kids got off the waitlist who wrote about their passion for NYU and Steinhardt major. Don’t give up just yet. Hope to see you at NYU.
