I also stated on my form that I would attend if I didn’t receive any FA. I don’t know if that will help my cause.
@WaitingforGodot4 are you waitlist too or are you at nyu?
@and2018 i dont need any either idk if that helps but a lot of people last year who were admitted off the waitlist couldnt afford it so they decline the offer thus open up more space
@tz6616 Admitted to Stern Freshman class 2022.
@WaitingforGodot4 thank you for your advice & kind words hopefully I’ll end up at NYU somehow, even if it’s for graduate school.
So for our update/essay thing, is it basically a re-do of our why NYU? Essay?? Or?
Waitlisted for Stern
@kuhlm44937 No write a new essay- include any new awards, new interesting info about you and your academics or ECs. Convince them if you are accepted you would definitely go to NYU. Write about your love and knowledge of your chosen major. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Hello! Waitlisted for CAS
Is the waitlist statistic on their page from last year or this year? I’m pretty sure their waitlisted percentage last year was 21% and that’s what it still says on the page
@WaitingforGodot4 okay thank you so much!!
Waitlisted for I-don’t-really-remember-anymore wh major. Most likely psych or international relations?
Waitlisted for Stern
waitlisted… as well as to UCLA. both are my top choice schools so i’m not sure what to do when it comes down to making a deposit
to those who are also waitlisted- what are your stats?
My friend got waitlisted last year and she ended up being accepted at the end of may with a financial aid package better than her friends that got accepted RD! There is definitely still hope for money. I also heard that NYU is different from other schools in that they accept a lot more off of their waitlist than others. I’m assuming this is because so many people reject their offer because of financial aid or other reasons
ed2 got deferred(mcc at steinhardt/ gallatin and lsp) and now waitlisted. What a lyf!! :((( Does anyone know when NYU can give offers for the waitlisted?? So desperate rn…
@Bunnyrocksss same here with being deferred from ed2. A large majority of the decisions will be released in May (according to what happened last year)
@Bunnyrocksss It’s definitely gonna be after May 1st because they need to see how many seats they still have open
Thanxx! btw did u get in?
Yea gonna wait for another month or more :((
