I just wish it was December 15th already, the waiting is killing me!

St. Louis baby!!!

Mass

Also, advice for December 15th, you will make yourself miserable if you wait up the entire night. Rejection emails don’t start coming out until like 2:00 or 3am ish. And they come in waves. Pretty much if you haven’t received an email by noon, you are pretty much in. Rejections usually stop at noon but acceptances don’t go out until 2:30pm ish and all go out at once. But if you do decided to wait up, make sure to have admissions@nyu.edu the only email contact that gives your phone notifications, otherwise you will be freaking the ■■■■ out every time you get an email.

@NYUFan101 I also applied to two other schools, EA, that also have Dec. 15 as the decisions notification date, so I may as well turn off all internet devices and check everything in the evening lol. Or else I’ll have a heart attack any time my phone beeps.

Will Financial Aid details come with the admission decisions? Because we all know that for NYU getting in is only half the story.

Hey guys, do you think a 2010 SAT for CAS is too low? I’m retaking it in december, but I think I’ll be able to raise it to 2100 at best…

@NYUDreamer1 should be fine, I’ve heard of people with 1800-1900 SAT getting into CAS.

@natiann123 I’m from Brazil!

My GPA is horrible… A 3.58 W because I messed up Fr and So years. With a 2100 SAT, how will I fare with ED1 CAS?

Hi everyone. I was wondering how competitive Steinhardt is for ED1. Thanks!

Usually you will get some sort of financial aid details with your admission on the 15th, but I don’t think they final final numbers come out until a few weeks after

I’m from NY. Did anyone ask to be considered for HEOP?

Hey guys !!! This is my first post at college confidential… Well I applied ED1 to Steinhardt (foreign language education program) and am super anxious… Steinhardt is definitely my FIRST choice.

Can anyone chance me with my data? I got a 2060(super score) in SAT reasoning test - Critical Reading 660, Mahs 710, Writing690 and have 4 APs(sent 2 of them as part of my application). My GPA is about 3.6 unweighted and I am from a highly competitive private high school… ( my high school is almost the same level as Exeter and Andover). I can speak three languages fluently and am taking two other languages ( Latin for three years and currently Arabic). Yes, foreign language is my intended major and interest!!!

I have four national awards about Latin ( NJCL) and am honored as a national high school scholar by the National Society of High School Scholars. I did community service for terms and engaged in all sorts of musical activities ( I played the piano for eleven years and have given several recitals at school. I also did chorus and theatre). For sports, I play JV softball…

I did an internship with a world known artist management company in NYC and volunteered twice at a major symphony orchestra. I also did a language and cultural immersion program in Japan junior summer ( since Japanese will be my focus if I do the foreign language eduction program). I’m very confident about my recommendation letters from my teachers  I also submitted one extra rec written by a famous conductor of the symphony orchestra I volunteered at.

My PS is about my internship experience in NYC. I think it’s a good reflection of who I am. And it’s also a good connection with the city as well I guess. My supplement very clearly illustrates why I see NYU especially the foreign language program at Steinhardt is the best fit for me. I also mentioned my strong interest in the study abroad programs in Abu Dhabi (since I’m taking Arabic) and in Japan.

Ok… That’s a lot of information… I just feel so anxious since my test scores and GPA are not that good as an Asian. But I heard from people Steinhardt is not as hard as Stern and CAS and I might have a better chance with lower scores. But I do see myself at Steinhardt from many perspectives… Can anyone chance me about my ED to Steinhardt? Thanks guys <333

Finger crossed for you all and myself

@puglover123 I heard Steinhardt is relatively less competive compared to Stern and CAS. I feel like Steinhardt looks more at if you’re a good fit. I’m also applying ED1 to Steinhardt. Good luck to both of us !!!

has anyone gotten an interview yet? do they even have interviews for ED1?
