NYU ED II 2018 Discussion

^Actually so far I’ve seen two ppl.

Mine didn;t change yet, it just says Award Access Not Available with no year :(

Mine changed but I don’t know if mine ****s because I have a precollege account

Counts* don’t know why it was started out

I have not seen an FA change either. However, I have 2013 and 2014 with “Award Access Not Available”

^^if it’s in a t chart then that’s the change

I think you want it to say 2015 Award Access Not Available according to the EDI thread

But I was in precollege so it might have just been that way before. I don’t know?!

^^ I was in precollege too. I guess the change for us is when the 2015 gets added. That’s what happened to mine

Oh well that makes me nervous. I guess it’s all a waiting game now. :O

Just a month left :o

Been looking through this thread, has anyone who was NOT in the precollege program have their FA change? By the looks of it, no but I could be wrong…

I’m really gonna hate school during that week… so anxious

@sternhopeful2018 I was never in the precollege program and I got my FA change.

@outonalimb where did you apply? Going to make me nervous if you say Stern haha!

It’s only been a few weeks since the deadline so there’s a lot of time left before the release date. And someone in the ed2 thread for a fa change but got rejected. So none of it is definite

@sternhopeful2018 Hahahaha not to worry I applied to Steinhardt

I am the parent of an ED II applicant. His account has been changed. I’ll post after he receives the decision to further confirm or debunk this theory.

From what I have heard, there’s a strong positive correlation between those who get their FA changed and ultimately are accepted.

HOWEVER, there is not a substantial enough amount of testimony to say that there is a correlation between not having your FA changed and not being accepted. That being said, if you have your FA changed, it’s a optimistic sign. The majority of students who have their FA changed will be accepted. But if you don’t have it changed, don’t fret because so far, a no change is not an accurate projection of your admissions decision. A huge number of students don’t have their FA changed until after their acceptance.

(pardon my obsessive analysis) I’ve also noticed that the RD thread for 2017 showed a lot more people getting rejected yet having FA changes than the EDI/II threads of 2017 and EDI thread of 2018.
I’m wondering if there is a stronger and visible correlation seen in the ED pools than in the RD pools, where most of the FA changed-rejected people were in…
Or maybe I’m just over-analyzing :P

How do we know if our FA was changed?
