yep, RD applicants hear back on April fools o.o I applied RD, but I’ve been following this discussion for ages. I just never commented because I didn’t know if I’d really be barging in on ED hahaha. good luck to all!!

I JUST GOT THE FINANCIAL AID CHANGE 2015 AWARD ACCESS NOT AVAILABLE WITH THE 3 COLUMNS FOR STERN!!! is that the GOOD change!!!

(Didn’t apply for financial aid though)

@stjohnson Yes, that’s the good change. Hopefully is still means something. What are your stats?

Did anyone else from NY who applied to stern get the aid change?

Stats are on my profile

^^ I think I did. I did precollege so mine shows 3 years so I’m not sure lol

any non precollege stern applicants? lol :P

Lots of stern applicants here, hope the FA change theory pulls through and you all get in!!

@sternhopeful2018 You get the FA change regardless of whether you applied for it or not.

@stjohnson I’m from NY, and applied to Stern. Still have not seen anything blah. Stats here: <a href=“Chance NYU Stern (ED2) - New York University - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/new-york-university/1601213-chance-nyu-stern-ed2-p1.html

@lyndak okay thanks :)!

@sternhopeful2018 you seem like you have a really good shot haha

and just wondering, were you recruited for swimming? i have a few swimmer friends saying how colleges recuit swimmers by events rather than overall skill so people would only need to be outstanding at like 2 things haha

@stjohnson No I was not recruited haha. Yea your comment on how colleges recruit swimmers is definitely correct. I know someone a few years back who got recruited to an Ivy even though his grades were abysmal ( gpa < 80 ) He swam like a monster though, almost made it to the Olympics.

@sternhopeful2018 that’s insane! but i think olympians get offers from every college lol. and i saw on your stats that you’re a state level athlete that’s pretty impressive, what event(s) did you make it in?

i just got the change!!! its the three columns and has 2015!!! is this good?

Is there people in Ohio who got change??

@collegebound1260 Yes! if it has the three column chart with “2015” and “Award Access not available” in it, then that’s the FA change :)

Ok, so this whole FA change thing applies to people who did not apply for FA? I became paranoid and I am checking my FA status every single hour even though I didn’t even applied for it. Feels pretty stupid. Also did anyone from Connecticut that applied for Stern got their FA status change?

sorry to ask, but about this financial change thing. mine shows 3 columns w/2015, NYU, and award access not available? I can’t tell if i got it because it doesn’t say CAS or anything O.o

okay after some snooping, i got my question answered and i think i did get the FA change? O.o (correct me if i’m wrong!)

no idea whether it’s a “true” correlation yet so i’ll try to not keep my hopes up; good luck everyone! :)

@Kstreme16 There’s definitely a strong correlation that we’ve seen, but yes don’t keep hopes too high. Just 2 weeks left!

@koreansternhp Yes, FA change can happen to people who applied to FA and people who didn’t.
