NYU ED II 2018 Discussion

guys but seriously… if we got the FA change and got rejected we MUSTTT come back and write about it so other people can know about the falseness/accuracy of the theory.

^ So if out application status changed from CAS to Liberal Studies Program, it means we are most likely rejected? I’m curious

most likely acceptance to LSP… no worries!

Not gunna lie, some of the pressure of getting into NYU was taken off yesterday when I was accepted into Tulane :P

^Thanks chances1please! Yes, so that means I might be rejected to Arts and Science.
Anyway, is LSP good? What is it exactly? :slight_smile:

@canada2014 did u apply for financial aid?

@iceman101 Well basically it’s a two year transition into whatever program you might have wanted in the first place. All you have to do is keep a 2.5 GPA (someone confirm this) and after your sophomore year, you will “matriculate” into whatever school you want (except Stern).

Generally if you were automatically switched into LSP it does mean you were rejected from CAS but keep hopes up! you will know for sure when decisions come out in 5 days and change. It is not good or bad it is just a way to get kids to finish all of their prereqs early in their career to ensure success in whatever field they desire.

@koreansternhp
no i didn’t.
I though international students were not eligible for FA.

@canada2014 international students are allowed to get

@chances1please I agree. We all NEED to come back so next year they’ll have a more proven theory lol

@canada2014 oh shoot… so it means that international without FA change also are highly eligible for rejection ha… I am feeling super bad now

Ok so is there proven case where people without FA change got accepted?

@koreansternhp Well no fa change simply means that they haven’t reviewers you fa yet. Also there are many cases where people without fa change got accepted

@NYUhopeful1 Really? You are not saying that to just make me feel better right? D; Where did you find such cases? In ED 1 Thread?

Lol Yea there were a lot of cases where people without the fa change got accepted don’t worry. But unfortunately there were a couple cases where people with the fa change got rejected.

I wouldn’t say ‘a lot,’ but there were a handful more or less.

@chances1please congrats on the tulane acceptance! btw does anyone know if the fafsa was due january 15th or february 15th for nyu? i applied for aid and sent in my css by january 15th but sent my fafsa to the wrong schools… so now i don’t even know if i “applied for aid…”

@julietrose11 for ED2, it was january 15th.

LOL I saw a thread during the 2018 ED 1 times when everyone decided to post their status, their stats, which school they applied to and whether or not they got the FA change, and they all promised to return and report their results. So people were like:

Applicant 1
CAS, ED 2018
GPA 4.0, SAT 2000
No FA change

Applicant 2
Stern ED 2018
GPA 4.0 SAT 2000
NO FA change

Applicant 3
Steinhardt ED 2018
GPA 4.0 SAT 2000
FA Change

x15 or something

So at the end of the day, after decisions come out, I think about ONE PERSON returns and says “I got the FA Change and got accepted!” lol so much for those promises… someone should go and search for that thread. I think you can find it if you search “financial aid change” or “fa change” “fa change nyu” etc…

My guess is that everyone who got the change and got in obviously posted back but everyone who got rejected, regardless of whether they got the change or not, did NOT return.
