NYU ED II 2018 Discussion

@ach588, I get two options only. I get NYU class stern link and that takes me to the Stern login page.
Whats this about @ach588?

@lulla1221 If you’re accepted, this will be shown on Albert sooner or later through the fact that you’ll be able to accept/reject your admissions offer. Your financial aid package will come after your decisions email and that will be available on Albert. There will be no congratulatory letter or email on Albert, however, which is what I think Shawn was referring to.

@kristiano7 do you have a stern id?

Thanks! @lyndak

@gucci21 - nope.

@kristiano7 under the my workspace, in the my memberships part, I have the option to join that one club. Just overanalyzing and hoping that means something lol!

Don’t know if this has been posted, but hope this is what you all we see (with your respective colleges of course!)

Dear ________,

On behalf of the admissions committee, it is my honor and privilege to share with you that you have been admitted to the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at New York University. Congratulations! I could not be more excited to welcome you to NYU.

@lyndak

This is the original account owner. I’ve removed my sassy friend from this account, and I apologize on her behalf.

@lyndak Thank you for speaking up. I was getting pissed at that beyotch too.

My biggest question that I guess no one seems to know about even after reviewing the admission trends for several years is whether the applicants who got the CAS to LPS change all got admitted, or do they also have the privilege (sarcasm) of a double rejection??

@lyndak By the way, with over 52, 000 applications, I doubt they waste their precious time on us few applicants obsessing on CC to get their jollies.

@Chubscout I agree. We’re only 20 of their applicants. I would think it be funny if they really did read our conversations. Why would they care? Lol.

@Chubscout Having your Albert changed to LSP means that you’re being considered for LSP.

@ Everyone else: No more sass from this account, that person’s gone. :slight_smile: Apologies for her posts.

@Chubscout @lyndak Shawn Abbott technically did mention us (College Confidential) when he was talking to the RD pool (saying how we were obsessing about FA change and should not be trusted LOL)
BUT yeah I agree, I doubt they would be wasting their time reading these posts. If there is someone hired with the ridiculous job to read these, I’m sure he has already hanged himself because of our hysteria.

Hey guys! I know tomorrow is the big day for yall and I was just in the same place two months ago! I just wanna come here and say good luck to all of yall! I hope its all good news. Get some sleep tonight and be prepared for either decision:)

@HaroldSawyer

Sorry, forgot to specify. That was weighted GPA.

“Get some sleep tonight” Would a 20 minute nap count?

@outonalimb Yes that nap would count ;)

Watch a few movies or a tv series!

@FloatyThings Hey, so far you an I are the only Tisch people on this thread applying for ED II! 3.6 is fine for Tisch as long as your portfolio is good (which you say is great, so I’ll take your word for it). Your grades and ECs really look fine as well, so I would say it’s really down to your portfolio and if they really like it. Definitely looking forward to hearing your results tomorrow!

PS: Here are my stats

Applying to Tisch Film
GPA: 3.2
SAT: 1800
Portfolio: Awesome. (video: https://vimeo(dot)com/85992414) My full-time job is production coordinator for a Disney Producer. I own a film production house. My essays and recommendations are great. I’m really riding on my portfolio!
