What time have people been hearing back?
@benben123 I think I have similar stats with you with higher college GPA (while having relatively low high school GPA). I only received the email that they haven’t received my high school transcript a week after I submit my app, and was informed that they received it a week later.
I’m wondering if it shows that your application is under review when receiving the email saying that the application is complete. Does everyone receive it?
I applied to Tisch and I haven’t gotten a decision yet.
Hello everyone! I recently applied to NYU Tisch for transfer in the fall of 2018 and wanted to see if you guys think I have a shot of getting into my dream school. Here is my general application
Education: Community College
Honors program member
Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society member
GPA: 3.9
Dean’s list every semester.
EC’s:
Internship in Manhattan for film production company, Martial arts instructing, bodybuilding and content creator on vimeo and youtube. (Those are the major things,)
I also have a letter of Recommendation from an Alumni and prior Tisch professor. Another Letter comes from my film professor here at community college in NY.
Anyone know if I stand a chance at getting into my dream school? Would love feedback and feel free to ask any questions if necessary. Thanks!
I applied to the Film and Tv Production program, and my portfolio hasn’t been checked off yet. I’m so nervous!
How have people been hearing back? do you get an email once it is ready to be viewed or did you just check your portal?
i just checked my portal and my all credentials got check off. Also, I was able to access to housing portal and I also could see my university id which was a different id number with the id number that they sent me on application acknowledgment email. Do you guys think this is a good sign? or just a common thing? i’m just so nervous haha
I don’t think the housing application means anything honestly because I can access the summer housing application and fill it out but I called yesterday and they don’t have my high school transcript or college report processed yet so they can’t have reviewed my application yet.
@sl2018 Everyone can see summer, but supposedly only those who are accepted are able to choose Fall.

I called the housing department, and apparently they are already overbooked for the rising sophomore class so the chances that any transfers get housing on campus are very slim. It’s looking like off campus for all of us. If you want to access the off-campus housing portal, you have to accept your admission decision.
I’m not sure about all of you but this means I will be looking for roommates, so if someone wants to get a facebook group started so we can all meet that would be dope.

I have an email from my admissions counselor, I got this yesterday after reaching out to him/her with some questions.
“Thanks so much for reaching out. The Office of Admissions has received your midterm report as well as all other required documents. You should receive your decision by May 1st. There is no need to send an additional letter.”
I think the majority of us can expect to hear back by May 1. (This is for CAS, can’t speak for Tisch/Stern)
