So I called about decisions and they said we will get them starting may first until August. Also, he said first come first serve. So I guess applying earlier means receiving a decision earlier.
@vincent1997 are you kidding? that’s really inconsiderate of them because we all have to pay to keep our spots at 2nd choice schools if we are waiting for NYU until august! I can’t afford 2 tuitions if NYU accepts me the same month school starts!
The first summer session for film starts may 21st, so I think we will hear from them before that… I am losing hope that they will release anything today. Gonna stop refeshing my albert and try again tomorrow.
Haven’t gotten my acceptance or decision yet, but a new tab just popped up on my portal regarding financial aid for 2019? Has anyone else gotten this? Had to drop $100 on a commitment deposit to another school yesterday. Really need to hear something from NYU this week
@dexterjettser I haven’t, but I also will have to pay an enrollment fee by June 1st for others schools I got accepted into. I need to make a decision before that date though, so I also hope nyu sends us something before June.
@dexterjettser looking at the past transfer threads, i would say that the financial aid change is a good sign!
just got an email from my admissions officer asking for my SAT subject tests, even though I didn’t take any and the sat portion was checked off on Albert… cant believe ive been checking the Albert 15 times a day for the past month just to be told its incomplete now
heyyy I applied for game design too. And I had exactly the same experience with you. What did you submit for your portfolio? I am currently in an art school so I just submitted a bunch of my artwork. Super nervous now.

Ok I just called admissions and asked about Tisch and they said all decisions were coming out between now and the beginning of June on a rolling basis. FWIW got a “student ambassador”, but they did sound like they knew what they were talking about.
yeah… no I wasn’t kidding. He really did say August. I don’t know if that is specifically for stern, but that’s what he said.
I think August will be if space opens up after the initial decisions but it would probably be unlikely. For waitlist last year as a senior, they said it would be rolling up until August 1 and on August 1, everyone was pretty much rejected because space never opened up.
Im CAS Econ and still haven’t gotten my decision yet. Anyone else or is it just me?

@g4gtown @nyutransfer2018 I too got accepted Apr 17. Did you two accept the offer as today was the last day?
@vincent1997 I believe the admissions ambassador may have been confused. Going all the way to August doesn’t make sense considering the website clearly says decisions go until June. When I was waitlisted last year, waitlisted students had to wait until August, but that’s different than transfer. As @sl2018 mentioned, it would most likely be if space happened to open up, but it’s unlikely.
@kxera Either way, I think those of us who applied timely will hear back very soon.
