@selselsel i’m not a Stern applicant but coming on here and telling people who have been anxious and hopeful that they’re chances of getting in are garage is pretty rude. a lot of people worked hard to be in the standing they are to be able to apply, and even if they turn out to be rejected for whatever reason, they shouldn’t have to read what you said and doubt themselves. congrats to you for going to NYU already but if you’re on this thread hopefully you can be more positive and helpful next time.
@selselsel and we will be that 1%, whether you like it or not I will continue to declare an acceptance, victory, and my testimony. The odds are for me, and God and I are the majority I said it in my essay and I’ll say it now. As simple as that. God bless you and have a good night.

@selselsel You work at NYU admissions? If not they don’t post something that stupid. If Stern didn’t accept external transfers they wouldn’t give an option for it in a first place. Telling people that their chances are garbage or next to nothing is not the best option especially when they are anxious. Use a little common sense before making a joke of yourself online or at least read. Remember what you think, firstly no one cares, and second is your opinion, not fact. If you can’t be positive, then do this world a favor and don’t post anything. Everyone knows that Stern is competitive and extremely hard to get in. I know many people who transferred to Stern as external transfers so obviously you are wrong.

A former NYU admissions officer had helped me with my applications getting into NYU, and that 1% who gets into Stern externally is children of alumni or military kids
That’s weird because I know a few people who have gotten in as external transfers. Even though you think you know what you’re talking about, don’t bring other people down because what you are saying is not entirely true. Thank you @selselsel :x

@pop2627 I know a few people who got in as external transfer as well. But the majority of the seats for stern are saved for internal transfers. It is also easier to transfer internally.
@r3j3ct3d1 be that as it may, the issue was that there’s a way of talking to people nicely and assuringly without bringing them down completely. (not saying you did at all) despite our input on here we never know what the odds may be and we can only leave it up to the admission officers to decide!

Anyone hear anything today? Any Steinhardt MCC students still waiting on a decision? I feel like I’ve seen very little MCC’s hear anything
@Castelan I haven’t heard back and I am also MCC. Nothing today and no changes on Albert. However, people recently who got in said they never got changes on Albert so really thats the least of my concern at this point. I’m kind of nervous because I have a housing deposit due at another university and need to know where I’ll be in the fall. 
Does anyone know (heard rumors about or know anyone) the housing that transfers may get? I feel like even if I got in, I can’t really afford to live in NYC aside from the university.
@tangerine12 same. I got into SMU (another private school in Dallas, Texas) and I need to know as well. Fingers crossed for the both of us and positive vibes send your way. I’m putting my faith in God’s hands at this point!

@tangerine12 I live in nyc and there are plenty of places you could live outside of the dorms for the same price or cheaper. You’d of course have to live with roommates but it’s certainly possible
