@hayden19 I would suggest that you call the admission office and let them know. Probably there’s a form for your school that might need to complete.
Hold up, we have only TWO weeks to accept or decline once we get a decision?? I am now kind of hoping to hear back later then because I still need to hear back from other schools. Can someone confirm or deny this statement?
@nbrewer Two weeks from decision notification. I got accepted and it’s stated on my decision letter. I’m waiting on 1 more school decision coming in a week, so it’s close. If you email the admissions office they might be able to give you some leeway.
“Visit our website for critical instructions on how to confirm your enrollment online and review your preliminary statement of transfer credit. The deadline to confirm your enrollment is two weeks from the date of your decision notification.” - From my letter.
Only people that applied to CAS have heard so far right?
based on the thread it seems so
I think the next wave is gonna be next Thursday or Friday
@dood523 I applied to CAS and am still waiting… it’s making me nervous but I submitted the day of the deadline.
@greenbaby22 I also applied to CAS and haven’t heard back yet! But I applied in mid-February, so I think the application/decision dates are all random.
@corinnaolson that makes me feel better lol. Whats your major?
Applied to CAS for Linguistics and haven’t heard back yet. Application submitted on April 1. Checklist items are all received (but I can still see my checklist).
Hey guys. I’m applying to Stern from a CUNY as a junior transfer.
3.9 GPA - pretty much took 20 classes so far, about 16 As, 3 A-s, and 1 B+
Awesome rec from Communications Teacher
I think my essays are pretty strong
Very strong EC’s throughout HS and college - I’m CEO of the Entrepreneurship club in my school currently. had many internships in HS. Charity work, created a business that generated over 75k in revenue, etc…
There’s a lot more but you get the point.
I feel pretty confident in my application. What I don’t feel confident about is if I’m even applying to a program that I can be accept to … I heard some years Stern doesn’t even take external transfers? Is it possible or am i dreaming ?
Do you guys know how long it usually takes for the checkmarks on the supplemental material checklist to be updated after you submit transcripts? The website I used says that NYU downloaded them a few days ago, but it hasn’t updated yet. I’m sure it will soon, though, because I know that they have a lot of materials to go through. Also, don’t stress guys!! No matter what happens, be proud of yourselves for even applying. Also, remember that your well being comes before your schooling, so take care of yourselves during this time!
@nmm101 I think Stern is extremely competitive for external transfers, and most spots go to internals. You’re obviously a really good candidate, but the fact that it’s so competitive makes it impossible to tell. In 2014 Stern’s transfer acceptance was 2.5%.
@greenbaby22 Physics! How about you?
I think the disappearing checklist probably means your application has moved to the admissions committee for review. I submitted mine really early so my checklist has disappeared, but I doubt it has anything to do with your actual decision
@corinnaolson aw nice! I applied for Global Public Health and Anthropology. Hopefully we hear soon!
@greenbaby22 i also applied to global public health! however i chose the science focus and will go into biology. if we get in hopefully we see each other there!
@greenbaby22 agreed! best of luck to you!!
@blueki oh my gosh awesome! Yes we will have to exchange Facebooks or instagrams!
I think so too, because the admissions office sent me an email this morning because they were missing something from my application. As soon as I sent it in a couple of hours later my checklist disappeared.
