NYU for Computer Science - Minor in Business? Possible?

I applied to CAS with an intended major of Computer Science and was accepted :)

I am still waiting to hear from Carnegie Mellon, which obviously has a better CS program (it's often ranked #1, or darn close). But, how does NYU fair in terms of CS? I don't have an interest in electrical engineering - just CS.

I am also very interested in business. Even though I applied to just CAS, would I be able to take courses at Stern and possibly pursue a minor in management (or even a dual major)?

I suppose I have somewhat of a special case--I'm already running a fairly succesful company (yes, started on my own) in the Internet/technology sector - so that's why I'd like to pursue a degree in both CS and business.

I apologize if these questions aren't well directed for this forum - if that's the case I suppose I could just contact NYU directly as well :)

I believe you can’t take Stern courses if you’re not accepted into the actual Stern school :open_mouth:
But don’t take my word for it, haha.

I plan on minoring in CompSci, but have no idea how the “Information Systems” major is at Stern, since that’s what I applied for and got into.

If you minor in compsci, wouldn’t you end up taking some courses that are technically from CAS?

I was going to apply to IS under Stern, but I didn’t think it totally fit my interests.

Yeah, apparently Stern allows you to take one class or something from CAS, I need to look this up, lol.
