thankyou!!! i’m actually hoping to be LSPed

Lol no worries, you might be. LSP sounds quite cool actually.

i was surprised to be admitted, especially comparing my scores to the other accepted

SAT: 1940/2400 – 1310/1600
SAT II: Math I:600 Lit:650
GPA: 4.0/4.0 UW 4.5 W
Good EC’s (3 varsity sports), some volunteer work.
National Merit Commended Student and National Hispanic Recognition Program

Honestly my standardized testing sucks but I’m a good student so I’m glad they didn’t focus too much on my SATs. Wrote a killer essay.

I got in and I’m definitely not a super genius!

SAT: 1800 (I actually think it’s the lowest score I’ve seen on here!)
GPA: 3.5
I’m not in the top 10% of my class, and I took absolutely NO AP classes during any of my four years in high school.

Go average people!!! ^_^

MrsManager-you have no idea how much of a relief that is…although the chances are still slim…I have an 1890…it’s nice to know they don’t completely disregard you if you have low numbers.

MrsManager made me feel a lot better as well, no APs here! (I have honor classes though, we’ll see.) Applying in the fall though. Good luck to all!

Glad I could help! I’m one of those people who believe that if you really want something, there will ALWAYS be a way of achieving it. :)

Good Luck!!!

mrsmanager, what school did you get into?

Tisch. I applied for Dramatic Writing.

i’m normal!! got good IB grades (33 out of 45) average SAT and real bad ACT T_T…haven’t been accepted to NYU…but i just got my acceptance to University of Illinois-Urbana today…still hoping for NYU tho :)…My grades shows an upward trend…got impossible internships…and published a poetry book…real passionate about my essays, and have no ec’s…but i have managed to get into a good university…you just have to have hope and show real passion in your essays…i got a friend abroad who share similar stats with me (well a bit higher to be honest, without alumni relations and rich parentss) no internships, one or two ECs, and no published work, but he was accepted to Harvard ED…what did he do? his essays…trust me, there is hope for all who works hard to get what they want…even with normal stats :D
