I’m with you @ilovegoldfish. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but I do believe that they have made decisions already. Whatever this is it’s definitely a mistake on the part of the admissions committee! Everybody on this thread should check and then maybe I’ll be more sure about what this means.

I think we should keep the discussion here so it doesn’t get all confusing- especially if this turns out to be nothing.

Also, I have a button that says “Accept/Decline Financial Aid” right below the “Financial Aid Summary” button and I can’t remember if this button was there before or not or if its new???

It always was there - it’s there for mine too, and my FA message has not changed.

Not sure what it exactly means because my cousin applied last year ED and was accepted but I remember he had his decision and his still said access unavailable. It changed like 3 days later. Could mean you guys are in but I wouldn’t put too much faith in it. Maybe you guys were just among the first to change but I suggest not to worry if yours’ has not changed.

that button has always been there i think

Well i still can’t see if I got financial aid or not. this definitely doesn’t mean I was accepted.

Yea… Maybe they just processed the CSS or something… Who knows

Also, under your to do list what does everyone’s say? Especially if you see 2015.

it says, “No current to do item information found.”

I have “No current to do item information found”

Did both of you who got the FA change apply to NYU New York?

Yes, I applied to New York.

Hello all! Wow this thread has had some exiting developments thanks to @Marinozai

Here’s my experience:
-I am able to login to GlobeSmart and access my settings, the profile was created 11/28/13.
-My financial aid says “No self-service access for this aid year.” and the year listed is 2015

I applied to Stern, NY campus (ED).

Although this is all strange we must keep in mind that it could mean virtually anything and, at the same time, nothing at all.

-Henry

My daughter has applied ED1 to NY campus. For FA, no year is listed and it says “award access not available.” We are able to access Globesmart and account was created today. When we click on preferences in upper right hand corner we do get an NYU ID # as well as the netID. Does anybody else get an ID #…
probably means nothing!

Okay for sure having an NYU ID does not mean acceptance. We just checked and this ID # was given when she first applied.

Well it looks like the Globesmart hypothesis was incorrect - it seems to me that it means absolutely nothing.

However, it is interesting that everyone whose FA has changed applied to NYU New York - seeing as not everyone FA has changed might mean that that indicates acceptance, but who knows?

Oh hey and if you’re applying and want to come join us…
https://www.facebook.com/groups/NYU2018/

@pennydogman The NYU ID and the net ID are both allotted by the college to every applicant as soon as they receive your app. However, the infamous FA glitch is a different story. This happened last year too when some kids seemed to get their FA section updated and this was an indicator that they were accepted at NYU.

I applied to NYU New York and my FA has the 2015 aid year listed, but i’m not able to access it. @Anuragr do you think this little glitch is an indication of acceptance? It seems too small of a detail…

@Anuragr-so with the FA “glitch,” what does the updated FA section look like?
