@PinkPurple95 - It’s small, but if last year is any lesson, it could be an indication, yes.

^precisely that.

That being said, we aren’t experts - we’re just speculating like you are.

The GlobeSmart thing is strange…but the financial aid “glitch” is VERY peculiar. I mean, why would they ever change the financial aid status for a student that has been rejected? I wish I could post a photo here of what it looks like. It seems pretty legit.

I think that it is a sign that you’ve been accepted

Hopefully it is, I’m crazy about NYU but I don’t think it’s any guarantee…not getting my hopes up. However, I am interested to see if the FA page changes for more people or not in the next few days.
Have you heard anything about the FA being used as an indication of acceptance?

@rogahen That’s what ive been wondering too…if more and more people will have their FA page changed in the next couple of days. If it does, then I think we can see a repeat of last year applicants experience. Mine hasn’t changed yet, and if this is all true, lets hope mine and everyone else’s changes!

good luck to all!

Is there anybody applying to NYU New york who doesn’t have an updated FA page? It seems like everybody does. @Marinozai applied to Shanghai right?

I mean I think it’s a glitch - they don’t want you to know your decision ahead of time.

i guess my question was just answered. Is this exactly what happened last year?

i didnt apply for financial aid ugh so I still dont know…this website stuff seems like a stretch though. jw for the supplement, where did you guys say you wanted to study?

@Pinkpurple, I applied to NYU New York Campus, but my FA page hasn’t changed yet.

Last year, even kids who didn’t apply for FA who were accepted got the change.

I applied to Shanghai as my first choice, and New York as my second. You?

hmm interesting. I just applied to the New York campus.

@Ccally I didn’t apply for financial aid either but my FA info seems to be different than some people’s. It’s a blue chart…Column 1: “Aid Year” (2015) Column 2: “Institution” (New York University) Column 3: “Aid Year Description” (No self-service access for this aid year.). The things in ( ) are what is displayed below the column headings.

For the supplement I chose the NY campus (Stern)

Hmm by any chance, did you guys receive an email from the NYU Financial Aid Board this week with deadlines to fill out financial aid forms? I received one Monday or Tuesday afternoon I believe

wow you guys reply quickly! did anyone choose a specific place other than a campus of interest to write about?

@Ccally Other than a campus of interest? I thought we had to write about the campus that we were interested in…no?
What did you write about?

Mine is exactly the same as yours @rogahen. blue chart, under the column headlines, says the same stuff. you mean 2015 right? Who has a different format?

@rogahen I did. It was an email notifying applicants to fill out the CSS if they are planning to apply for any need based aid or scholarships. At that time I already filled it last month so I called the NYU’s financial aid office and they said they havn’t checked the CSS profiles yet and the emails were probably an error with the system. Just in case, I called collegeboard to make sure my CSS was submitted.

Now what I’ve said may be some what confusing because NYU said they haven’t looked at the CSS profiles yet (I called yesterday), yet people’s FA page is changing.
