NYU(NY) ED1 2018 Discussion

@putums i have the same thing; an ID that starts with an N. idk if it means anything tho. its called the university ID.

Sign in to NYU and click preferences on the top right. Then look towards the middle left and it should be there. My guess is everyone has one…if not there is gonna be a lot of chaos here lol.

Btw my FA message still says no award accessible. :pensive:

The N number means nothing. Everyone has one. It says so in the email that they should have sent you when they received your application (aka the email where they give you your albert login info)

Maybe it will change this week…the admissions office should be back to full speed after Thanksgiving, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Okay, so preferences on the NYU Home page right? Not the Global page? Because I only have My Settings in the top-right corner of the Global page.

FA hasn’t changed for me either…

Hey guys! If you don’t mind add me on Facebook! Sundy Chen that way we can get in touch with each other quicker and easier

I have instagram if anybody is interested… @rogahen my pics are decent

The officers have already cleared this up last year. Any changes on the FA page and on your profile does not in any way indicate acceptance. They are well aware of these changes that are happening.

Keep in mind that NYU Albert is essentially a modded version of the vanilla Oracle Peoplesoft system. Peoplesoft is regularly patched and updated quarterly, and while Albert is relatively slow (read more about it [Albert?s Inferno: Why You Won?t Escape Registration Purgatory Anytime Soon · NYU Local](<a href=“NYU Local”>http://nyulocal.com/on-campus/2012/04/05/alberts-inferno-why-you-wont-escape-registration-purgatory-anytime-soon/)), it doesn’t show whether we’re accepted or not.

tl;dr, just wait until you’re notified of your decision. Worrying won’t help. These admissions officers know what they’re doing. Re: [An Update for Regular Decision Applicants | NYU Admissions Blog](<a href=“MEET NYU - Home”>MEET NYU - Home)

Omg, I got really excited when I saw that I had a NYU ID number. haha, then i realized everyone had one. LOL i guess i’m too anxious. but something better than nothing right?

Lol same. Did your FA message change, Natalie?

Guys, only 11 days!! But its still so far away. I don’t know how I’m supposed to make time pass quicker. I’m getting really anxious.

its 10 days and 21 hours!!!

@rogahen Were you possibly referring to me? I’m not Natalie haha, but nope :frowning: not yet T_T maybe this means they havent reviewed my app yet?

Henry, nope, mine has not changed!

Albert mechugas

@infinitely2014 no haha I was talking to dorkfromnewyork aka Natalie

I’m hoping it changes for you guys this week!

Plan for the 13th:

 1. Lock myself in my room
 2. Sit cross-legged on the floor
 3. Wait
 4. Have my mom constantly refresh my email/Albert
 5. If I get a “Congratulations” from good old Shawn Abbott, I have assigned my sister to blast Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” throughout the house to let me know the good news
 6. If I get rejected… I don’t know what happens then.

If I don’t get in I would just be so mad about having to wait until April for the other decisions. I just want to be done.

@gaborik10 Thats exactly how i feel. I do have ED2 school in mind, but my zeal for that schoo is nowhere near my passion for NYU. I want to get into NYU and be done…
