<p>hey, does anyone know the average GPA and ACT/SAT for tisch? I’m applying ED1</p>
<p>I have a 3.45 and a 30 on ACT. I know that the overall NYU GPA is higher than mine, but I think that tisch looks at portfolio and essays more. </p>

<p>I’m planning on applying CAS ED 1 but unsure whether I’ll get in or not, considering I’m out of state (from Michigan) and have not too stellar stats (3.5 GPA, 30 ACT, lots of EC’s, 8 AP’s, 6 Honors, 2 IB) Chances??</p>

2200 SAT, top 15%, 780 bioE and 710 math1, AP Bio -5 and AP US- 5. </p>
<p>Attended Tisch Summer Filmmaker’s WKS. In a couple advanced orchestras, couple club presidents, mentoring etc, won a couple of awards. </p>

I got 2000 SAT (retaking oct)…state award in music comp…music tech student of the year at my school…couple of leadership positions.</p>

<p>I am applying CAS ED1 metropolitan studies major. I’m a track recruit so luckily I have the coach’s support. I’m still worried though, my gpa and test scores arent that great. 3.1 GPA and a 26 ACT but retaking ACT in 2 days. My gpa is low from my fresh and soph years although my junior year gpa was a 3.9, so hopefully they’ll recognize that improvement. I also have great extracurriculars. Coach says I’m the top recruit and he’ll heavily support my application. What are my chances?</p>
<p>Hi. It’s been a very long time since anyone has posted in thread and I think it would be great to get the discussion going again! I’m a high school senior who is applying ED1 to CAS this year. so soon!! I’m super excited and would love to hear from some other early- decisioners (?). My stats: I have a 3.8 unweighted and I think around a 4.2 weighted. I got a 2070 SAT score (math 610, reading 720, writing 750). I’m planning on also submitting my IB scores from last year and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to get predicted scores too, but it may be too soon in the school year. Is anyone else sending in IB scores? I’m taking two subject tests in october, but I’m confused about whether I’ll be sending those in or not. Do October tests need to be sent automatically for ED1? I’m involved in several extra curriculars (swimming, school leadership, girl scouts, lots of community service), but most notably I’m a reporter for a production company called Youth Radio. I’m crossing my fingers that that will give me a some kind of advantage because I’d like to be in the Arthur L Carter Journalism Institute. Can’t wait to hear what you guys have to say :)</p>

<p>If they are, then I think that may be a recent development. You can call admissions to know for sure- or send an email to your regional admissions rep.</p>
<p>NYU does superscore the ACT. Not sure why people say they don’t.</p>
<p>a couple of schools have extended their ed/ea deadlines, do you think that nyu will push its deadline back a couple of days?</p>
<p>An NYU Rep came to my school today and said they have not yet decided to extend the deadline and she doesn’t think they will.</p>
<p>Is anyone applying ED for Journalism? Do you know if it’s more selective than other programs within CAS?</p>
