Sounds good lol congrats! mine didn’t change but it’s okay😁

“Biology” (BA) for the College of Arts and Sciences

to

Liberal Studies Core Program (BA)

Did it change at the same time as your FA?

Yeah my FA changed but under program it’s still the same

hi i’m planning to apply for CAS ED2. My gpa is on the low side of around a 3.1, my grades from junior year is 3.1 weighted because I had a huge surgery that year and i missed alot of school. I’m in 4 IB classes and i plan to send my IB test scores instead of the ACT or SAT. I have killer essays, a good recommendation and lots of community service, i’m also involved in 1-2 clubs at school and i hold leadership positions for organizations outside of school. Also, I am from Pakistan. Do you guys know how good of a chance i have to get in? i am just concerned because my gpa is not my strongest point, but my gpa senior year falls around a 3.6

@ilovegoldfish

yes, everything changed today. I didn’t have a financial aid page (2015) or the new program listing yesterday or any time before.

Mine changed too!!

@pinkpurple95 changed from what to what

I have liberal studies and core program. Does this mean I’m in LSP?

I think you guys are in for LSP lol. Congrats again

@PinkPurple95

I mean, we don’t know for sure at all, but to me it seems like a pretty good indicator. Who knows though

Here’s what I’m concerned about: it might mean that we were being considered for CAS, but got rejected and so now they’re considering us for LSP and we might not be accepted to that either. I wish I wasn’t so nervous and insane right now. I’m actually not sure if I can physically wait for another week. Ahh! @eastcoastkid3 what are you thinking?

I’m pretty sure it means you guys are! What else would it mean? Congratulations to both of you, if LSP is something that you want. I don’t know what to make of this for myself because mine still says CAS…

@PinkPurple95 You do make a good point, that may very well be true. However, it seems like they’re coming to a close with applications and second readings and whatnot, so I doubt it, but of course, I do not know for sure.

In no way do I want to get my hopes up because if I get excited now and end up with a rejection letter, I would be crushed.

@ilovegoldfish hey maybe you got into CAS!

I just logged on Albert and noticed my notification plan was changed to ED II, What on earth could this mean? My common app clearly says Early decision and we signed all the documents.

@williegun Wow, that sounds very strange. Maybe you are one of the rare deferrals and they want to see your senior grades? I have no idea, sounds odd though, could be an accident.

Maybe all these changes are just mistakes. Hopefully not for some of us lol

I wish mine still said CAS. I don’t really know how to feel right now because I am wondering what would have happened if I said i didn’t want LSP. Would I have just been rejected? That might have happened anyway. It’s not worth being stressed right now because I might still get rejected anyway.

@williegun @eastcoastkid3 NYU doesn’t waitlist or defer. They prefer to flat out tell you if you’ve made it or not to save you the waiting pains.

@VioletAvenger For most students, yes that is true. However, I asked at one of the open houses and they said a very rare small percentage actually get deferred.

Did you guys consider the LSP program when you applied?
