Can you only be considered for LSP if you applied to CAS?
Or does consideration for LSP apply for all students that apply?

Oh and also, my slideroom application clearly indicates ED I, not II. The Common App simply says “Early Decision” while Albert says Early Decision II under notification. I could swear this is a change to Albert. Does anyone find this strange?

@sundychen95 Yes I did consider it when applying.

@infinitely2014 I’m not positive-I think as long as you had the option checked off in the Common App when you applied you should be considered.

I am confused, where in common app did you check off, is it the secondary campus?

@sundychen95 I’m pretty sure there was a question that said if you want to be offered another program, then check yes or something…I’m not sure if it said LSP directly.

Thanks! I just found it

That Albert site is just buggy, it’s the only explanation. I have confirmation #s saying ED 1. So its got to be a glitch, right? I mean, surely they are not going to be deferring people from the web site after they just got finished saying “no admission decisions will be available anywhere on our website.”

Wait I am confused, So on the Common app i didn’t specify that I want to be considered for LSP, but I did say I want to be considered for other programs within the NYU campus. Like where it asked about LSP it said to list the order of campuses like the preference and I didnt list them…but when it said on the New York campus, I put that I want to be considered for other programs… my application status changed my major to LSP too… Also, did everyone recieve financial aid? like did all of yours change?

ohmylord it now says core program new freshman im so confused… isnt GLS for lower applicants? do you think its a glitch, or legit? opinions people!

^It’s not necessarily lower applicants, I can’t stand when people say that. Look at someone in this thread who had 2000+ SATs and got in it. Also, we don’t know if it’s legit for sure. We’ll find out in a week!

@ccally it might just possibly be that you go accepted into their liberal arts program.

do you mind posting a screenshot so we can all see what it looks like?

does anyone else have this? its says new freshmen Core Program

Guys I’m freaking out! I didn’t put any alternate campuses of interest like remember the big blurb about LSP talking about Florence, London, and Paris? Did you guys all answer that question? Was New York Campus an option??

hey mravisetti, really bored and anxious id like to read the essay if u want

in my essay, i didn’t really mention “places” either …

No no I mean In the “questions” section on the common app, remember the part that specifically said LSP? It said to mark your campuses of interest, but if you’re not interested in the core studies program to leave it blank. It spoke about Florence, London, and Paris. I left it blank! I can’t remember why but I think it MIGHT be because NYC wasn’t an option. But I did say I’m interested in other programs at NYU. Does anyone know what I’m talking about??

Let’s stop worrying. Answers come in a week.

@mravisetti- NYC WAS an option. i just checked the common app. I listed campuses for LSP and I put New York first. I guess that means that if I get offered a position in LSP my first year would be in NYC, which is good. I’m pretty sure that if you didn’t list campuses it means you said you wouldn’t accept LSP. But yours changed! what?! I think this might mean that albert is f***ing up. That’s what I hope because even though I would probably say yes to LSP i would much prefer CAS. But @VioletAvenger is right. l’m trying to keep the stressing to a minimal…

Doesn’t that contradict my answer to the programs in NYU question though?? I said I was interested in programs in NYU other than what I applied to! Ugh I have no idea why I didn’t answer the LSP thing. I think I thought that Florence Paris and London were the only options, but yeah mine changed! To new freshman in liberal core studies program and the financial aid opened!

Woah. Guys. Update. I made another account on common app with a different email so I could check the options for the LSP thing. That entire question is gone now…
