@pinkpurple95 do you know by how much they weight the HLs?

Guys, I can’t decide if I should go to school on Friday or not. The decision could come any time during the day and I know I won’t be able to stop checking my phone for it in class. And I want to know my decision as soon as possible, so I don’t want to leave my phone at home or something. That would make me so anxious. But I don’t want to read my letter at school, cause I’m either going to end up sobbing uncontrollably or …well, sobbing uncontrollably. I’ll be sobbing in the middle of class either way. But idk, I feel kind dumb for skipping school for just this reason. What are you guys going to do?

NO SCHOOL! and yeah, i really hope they dont recalculate.

I’m going Friday but I told myself I’m not checking until after school

@goldfishes when did you start getting emails from Poly? Did you apply Stern? Can you check in Albert if your school & programs got changed to Poly Engineering?

I’m not going Friday. Way to stressful

According to my admission counselor, NYU no longer recalculates. In their program guide it said they did, but she told me that has to be updated and they no longer do. I wish they did, it would actually bring my GPA up. Oh well–they’re still looking at classes taken/scores all as one package.

“We don’t actually recalculate GPAs any longer, so that figure may or may not be accurate. Your high school performance is just one of many aspects of your application review. We also look at the rigor of your coursework, testing, recommendations and written pieces.”

where’s that quote from?

has anyone received a package yet?

If I don’t have anything major on Friday then I’ll stay home

did anyone here apply to LSP ED? if so what are your test scores and weighted GPA?

I did zugozugo, 33ACT 3.2gpa. you?

I’m not sure what I’m going to do Friday because I have to go to school and then I’m at my job until 7 and THEN I’m going to a concert. if I’m rejected I know I will make it a miserable time for everyone, but there’s no way I’m going to wait until Saturday to check. I don’t have that kind of self control!

@eastcoast, where is that from?

i think it increases your chances of getting in

@eastcoast, meaning that your schooldoesn’t recalculate or NYU doesn’t? it seems that refers just to you guys.

god im nervous about this decision.
