NYU vs UCLA for undergrad anthropology

I've recently been admitted to both UCLA and NYU as an anthro major and I have absolutely no clue which school I should go to. Originally NYU has always been my dream, but UCLA does have a higher-ranked program and it's significantly cheaper. I'm also from LA, so NYU is pretty far from home.

I can't decide if I want the comfort of home with a great anthro program, or a new adventure in my dream school in NY. Please let me know your thoughts!

Do you want to go to grad school? If so, that should be a factor in your decision, regarding where you may want to go, and where you want to live after school. Good luck! (I’m deciding between UCLA and NYU also, however I’m in LSP, so I’m weighing the awesome education at UCLA vs the awesome location of NYU and crummy LSP program).

I’m definitely planning on going to grad school in the future. I guess my decision also influences my choice for grad school in the future because I figure that whichever one I pick now, I’ll choose the other in four years, if I get admitted. Thanks and good luck to you as well!

UCLA. Definitely. Besides when comparing them the pros of UCLA outweighed that of NYU

Save your money and go to UCLA. Easy decision.
