NYU Waitlist Thread Class of 2020

I hope they’re good enough :(( thank you though!!! Good luck to you too !!@SP2671

Hey I have actually discovered we can re-submit the RSVP form by clicking the link in the email. Do you think I should submit the form again as there are definitely things I want to amend in the form.

@magiciangirl The option to resubmit is available to everyone, but I wouldn’t recommend doing it. You should call admissions but they did mention not sending more material than needed. And before you sent the first form, it did say that you would not be able to go back and revise material once it’s sent.

@Canon7130 I think they do consider transcripts. But mine are supposed to be sent after May 1st…like at the end of May/beginning of June, so if they do consider transcripts I would assume its near the end of May.

I’m not so sure since I’ve seen many people in the past get their decisions in the first half of May. Also here http://admissionsblog.nyu.edu/2015/05/06/an-update-about-our-wait-list-transfer-admission/
It says that they have all the info they need to make a decision.

hi guys! i was waitlisted to college of arts and sciences (ny campus) with a 28 act, 3.5 gpa, 5 on ap for us history and 720 for us history subject test (i want to major in history and do pre-law) good luck to everyone

Hey everyone! So for the “elaborate on your interest” question on the RSVP form, did you write about the college you originally applied to or simply did another Why NYU?

My daughter was wait-listed for TISCH - this is like torture for her. Hoping each of you get the email and your dreams do come true

@Canon7130 I don’t think final transcripts are an actual deciding factor for waitlist students. Decisions will come out early May and by then final transcripts won’t be completed. They will still ask for it at the end just to make sure that you didn’t fail out of high school

ACT: R-36 E-31 M-27 S-32 C- 31(one sitting) 32-(superscore)
SAT: R- 760 M- 590 W- 630 C:1980 — I know my math score is super low, I never studied for the SAT before I took it and didn’t realize how different it was from the ACT math section.
GPA: UW-3.86 (unweighted was sent in because school does not do weighted) W-4.69
Classes: All advanced classes for each core subject except for science where I took mostly regular science classes plus Adv. Bio, 3 years of French(school didn’t offer French 4 my senior year), APUSH, AP Calc, AP Stats, AP Lang (all taken this year so no scores yet). (Our school only offers 6 total AP classes).
EC: 4 year varsity track member and captain, 4 year soccer member, 4 year member and VP of Gatekeepers club (suicide and depression awareness group), 2 year member of Octagon club(community service club) lots of involvement, French club member 4 years, Yearbook member and editor for three years, NHS member (only available to seniors, have to submit resume, only 32 accepted), Assistant Crew chief for the school music two years, member of show choir crew two years, and worked as an executive assistant to a small business for four years.
Rec letters: one from my apush teacher/track coach - assuming it was pretty good, we are really close and I do well in his class, and other from junior year adv. english teacher which I’m assuming was pretty good as well.

Waitlised to CAS with decent ECs, 2100 SAT and 3.8 UW GPA. @MLMarylandB What school did you apply for within NYU?

Does anyone have the statistics for waitlist for stern business school?

@Bluebrry Idk stats but I think it would be the hardest to get off of, http://admissionsblog.nyu.edu/2015/05/06/an-update-about-our-wait-list-transfer-admission/ last year they wrote that they probably weren’t taking people off of the Stern waitlist, I’m guessing since its so competitive spots fill up

@kenzielouwho oh, thank you. i know it varies from year to year, but i figured it would be hard knowing nyu has ed1 and ed2

@Bluebrry I wouldn’t loose hope yet! I’m sure you’re very qualified! Did you put any other programs you where interested in ?

@kenzielouwho nah, just stern. would rather go to ucla or emory anyways if it’s not stern. 'bout you?

@Bluebrry I was waitlisted for the global studies program but I put LSP and CAS too

CAS for main and then Liberal Studies and GLS program as extras. @annoyingorange

I’m applying for a shit ton of scholarships just in case I don’t get much financial aid if I’m accepted.

Good news for me. There will be at least one spot open at Tandon School of Engineering since my friend gave up his spot. Lol #there’shope
