waitlisted…this is my 5th waitlist in the past 24 hours and I’m v upset

Accepted! Mar 26
GPA: 4.13 w
ACT: 32

Murrrr: so sorry! :(

Was able to log onto Presto and it looks like D was accepted for fall. No FA listed though. Hope the package comes in the mail soon!

@murrrr better than 5 rejections

waitlist! wahoo!!

My son was also wait listed and he is absolutely crushed

S is in. That is the last one. Time to make a choice.

@murrrr - I understand how upsetting it is to get so many waitlist letters in one day. D got two today, including one from Oberlin. Read the Oberlin blog. A girl wrote about the fact that she started on the waitlist before being admitted, so there is hope! Do you have a college you can give a deposit while you hang around on the various waitlists? I hope everything works out the way you would like. Good luck!

Waitlist

I second AMothersLove’s advice. I’ve read the same Oberlin blog about being waitlisted, and I’ve seen other CC posts from past Obies who were waitlisted and made it in. Keep your spirits up–as Chem said: better than 5 rejections.

AMothersLove: you might want to check again. The Presto site was a bit confusing, but after doing a bunch of clicking, I found the awards. I could be wrong (son also applied to conservatory and is a dual-degree student), but you might just try again because finding the package wasn’t exactly straightforward.

D was accepted but got wait listed at another school today. It’s such a roller coaster and at times the decisions don’t seem to make a lot of sense. Good luck to everyone.

Accepted with $18,000 in merit!!

@lcostacos, congrats! Where did you see the merit? D was accepted today, but saw nothing on the portal re: merit…thanks!

If you follow the directions at the bottom of the main decision page, you can log into their FA site with your pin and birthdate. And thanks!

@locostacos, thanks, I found it. $13k in merit…Oberlin might actually be affordable, wasn’t expecting that.

@dec51995 - Thanks for the info but it turns out I had jumped the gun. I checked Presto before D saw that she had received an email. I thought she had gotten in because I could log her onto Presto, but it turns out she only received a waitlist. She is okay with that, though. It is what she expected. We are just glad that answers from all colleges have finally arrived. Now on to FA negotiations with the front runner college! Congrats to all of those who received “yeses.” <:-P

Son was accepted … waiting for him to come home so we can check his aid info…
this is going to be a crazy week, 4 more schools tomorrow and 3 on Friday.
So far 4 for 6

arts and sciences sent me an email with my decision! :D
