You just log in using your Oberlin ID and your birthday as the default pin (mmddyy). I'm just wondering if anybody else (specifically those who haven't received an early write) was able to log on. There wasn't any financial aid information though... so I'm guessing I need to wait to April before I find out whether I got in. :(

I did not get an early write and was also able to log into the system. I think it works similar to grinnell's pioneer system and they just use to keep track of us on their system. i highly doubt it is some sort of indication

I guess I got an early write, but I'll get my stats in later. I'm so happy I'm in :D

yeah, even I didn't get an Oberlin ID.

I got it in the mail. The Oberlin ID was on a letter from the Office of Financial Aid listing what other documents I needed to send in.

Oberlin ID was in that early write acceptance letter; it is on the top right corner-!
i got an estimated financial aid packet and i am EXTREMELY satisfied,,hopefully it doesnt change much.

Wow, congrats to all of you who got in!!!!

My D is still waiting....we are on the West Coast and have received tons of stuff from them, mostly financial aid stuff, and the Parent Council stuff.

I was given both the early write and a John Frederick Scholarship (5^-1 ride). Note: I believe that these early writes were for the Multicultural Visit Program (I shall attend, starting tomorrow), so probably those that were written were Oberlin's top-choice URM applicants.

@ flootloop -- But I applied for aid, yet I didn't get an ID.

I'm in the same situation as Arit.

is anyone from New York planning to visit Oberlin??

If I get accepted, I will be visiting Oberlin. I live in Brooklyn, btw.

I never knew about the presto thing...I just entered the id they gave me( or rather mentioned in the aid form) and my birthdate as my password and lo..I was in! Actually they never formally told me that I was supposed to have one ID ....is it OK if I log in from time to time:??

As long as you have an ID, you can log in.

Ummm....is this a sign that you've been accepted and maybe not notified yet?

I doubt it... I think anybody who applies for financial aid gets an Oberlin ID #. I'm guessing it makes organizing the financial aid stuff easier for the people at Oberlin.

Thanks, art. Good luck on your admissions.

I'm just getting a little antsy that my kid has only gotten one acceptance so far...just another paranoid parent!

Thanks for wishing me luck on my admissions. I'm also very nervous... I've been checking my mailbox every day, even though I don't expect the letters to come till late March/early April.

Everyone who applies to Oberlin got an ID right?

I'm an international student applying for aid, an I didn't get an ID, so what flootloop said might be right.
